@Raziel Just to let you all know, its working PlayFM from this package does a wonderful job playing through my hardware. It's an 68k exe but works flawlessly under OS4 and as a little bonus there's a program called "Fireworks" which is running nicely for me too. It draws a firework on a skyline background while playing a MIDI file - neat Thanks to lylehaze for all the help

Well, it wasn't very clear from your initial post what you were trying to achive, so i thought giving you a link with explanations on .hdf files and (maybe, if needed) a how-to on installing/creating them...sorry if it wasn't much of help

@LyleHaze Quote: I don't know why DG is giving you troubles, as it works well here. Maybe you need reqtools.library? I know that earlier versions needed it, I do not know if that requirement was later removed.
Well i had 39.3 installed when i took it out it was the same, so, no need for it Still no sound from dg midi player, though edit: seems it is VERY picky on midi files, i got it crashed by simply feeding non conform files...bad crashes

@LyleHaze Quote: What program are you playing MIDI with? Horny? DG_MidiPlayer? Something else?
Horny Quote: Open ShowKeys, then click on "Source" and tell me what your choices are.. That's a good starting point.
No Connection via686.in.0 via686.out.0 in.0 out.0 (these two are added when i have Horny open and load a project) the "out.0" is deleted again, when i choose via686.out.0 in Horny's settings Quote: Better yet.. If you don't know where "DG_Midi" is sending it's output, try reading your choices from ShowKeys WHILE DG is playing.. You may see an "extra" cluster being created by DG.. Maybe..
Cluster means "in.0" or "out.0" for example? Nothing created by dg midi player, only by Horny as mentioned above Quote: Or, if you're a shell kind of guy, try "ShowClusters" for a list of all current clusters. Did I release ShowClusters yet? I'm not sure.
You did No extra cluster coming from dg midi player Playing a song in Horny does let Showkeys jump in, though

@LyleHaze I hope i didn't scare you away with my constant nagging? :-/ (Sorry about that!) With help of Davey Wentzler i have now had the experience to enjoy listening to sound coming out of my MT-32 One problem, though The only program to play MIDI thru my hardware so far - Hornydg midi player is silent (doesn't send any data, for me it's not even reaching the MT-32 - as would be displayed in the hardware display if successful) as was for Davey. Any ideas on what went wrong and on other programs i maybe able to send "normal" .mid, .midi files to listen to? Many thanks, Lyle

@LyleHaze
OK, all cables and stuff arrived, plugged in as your post showed, but i don't get "showkeys" to show any reaction when playing a MIDI file and of course no sound is played.
But maybe i got the wrong MIDI files?

@Jack
If i understand you correctly none of the ALT special keys are displayed for you?
Could it be a non conformative keyboard? (I mean, none of those who are actually meant to be used in your country?) Just guessing here!
I have a german keyboard and just checked, all ALT keys do work.
Maybe it's a problem with the input driver and your keyboard? You have a Logitech PS2, haven't you?

Best would be to use an USB2MIDI adapter. Check out Lylehaze's website to see which devices are supported

@Jack Quote: Just noticed the phenomena (was present also in the 084 release, I was told that it is a known issue but I didn't found no public discussion on it): If I start TuneNet and then AWeb, first online page GRs with DSI at bsdsocket.library, I can apparently continue ignoring the errors.
If I start AWeb first and then TuneNet, all seems well. Does anyone else experiences this with the latest Tunenet?
Too late, mate, already covered See post 43 and following Funny that it still crashes for you, for me these strange crashes are gone completely with this awesome new release.
