Welcome to the first game competition on Amigans.net!
For the month of June (which has already started) we will be playing.... Blastaway by RETREAM!
Blastaway is a highly playable and entertaining arena shooter, gameplay-wise heavily and shamelessly inspired by Wizard of Wor and graphically somewhat inspired by The Chaos Engine. Graphics have been pixelled by hand and music has been tracked as modules to let the player live a true 16 bit experience. And the 50 arenas, spread over 5 different stages, have been designed to make that experience intensely enjoyable... and last long! Are you brave enough to step into the arenas and clear them of the wors they swarm with?

The game comes with an installer, so should be quite straight forward to install on your system.
The goal of the contest is to see who can get the highest score in the game! Who will be the Amigans.net champion of Blastaway by RETREAM?

If you are interested in playing games and competing against others, you've come to the right place!
In this section of the forum we will arrange monthly and bi-monthly competitions, but also provide highscore lists for different games.
We'll start off easy and see how it goes.
Rules are simple:
- No cheating, trainers etc. - Scores must be posted in the appropriate thread, within the allotted competition time period. - You must use your amigans.net username for your submitted score(s). - We play the version of the game available for download in the thread of the contest, either via a link or a direct download.
Thanks! Glad you like the idea. Have been looking around for a suitable game and I think I found one. Quite a while ago I got a suggestion from 328gts about Blastaway by RETREAM - this game should be something for everyone, since it does not require any high-end AmigaOS 4 hardware and that it is free to download.
