What speed to you have your A1 set at. 1.3 sounds nice. Is it doable on the 7445 933?

I did install them but I think I added the jpeg.datatype later. I will redo. Thanks for the advice.

Datatype Clarification
Quite a regular
Quite a regular

I have the Warp datatype range installed (native AOS4 versions), however does that mean that I should remove any corresponding dataypes, like PNG or JPEG? Are the system datatypes fater or slower that the warp ones, or do the warp datatypes enhance the system types? This is one area of AOS that I don't have a clue in?

Any advice welcome.

@tonyw

Thanks Tony, just as well if there are updates to UBoot and it looks like Doug ain't in action anymore here in OZ. Everything is working fine again but I am still worried that one day my recurring problem is not going to be fixable. None the less I am having fun again.

cheers

@ssolie et all

Thanks for all your suggestions. I did replace the battery with a new one. It appears that my problem was yest again the battery holder. I have had it re-soldered back on to the MB twice already but the guys doing it say it is almost impossible to get a good connection, every now and then it seems to come loose and hence a bad connection. Removing the battery for 5 minutes reset UBoot, thank god, I thought I had killed the bios chip.

All up and running again, just installed my HP all in one printer/scanner under OS X using MOL and it works!

Thanks once again chaps. has anyone else had battery holder problems. My original one was only soldered in one spot and quickly fell off!

Cheers

HELP - No UBOOT (solved)
Quite a regular
Quite a regular

Help, tonight my A1 refused to initiate the monitor, a good indication that the battery is playing up. I removed the power cord and the battery, replaced the battery with a new one and then had trouble booting for a long time.

Finally the machine kicked in, I went to reset the UBoot setting to default and the machine froze, now when booting I only get a flashing cursor, no UBoot settings.

I can see the machine initiating my usb hub so something is happening.

Any ideas on how to get back into UBoot or am I stuffed. The only thing I can think of is to buy a pre-programed bios chip.

Any ideas gratelfully received.

@Valiant

I used the mpega library. have you updated to the latest AmigaAmp with a new AOS4 decoding engine. AmigaAmp runs fine now.

@Mikey_C

I will certainly try but I installed mine a long time ago, I would need to revisit before I send folks on a goose chase. There were a couple of tricks to remember.

AmigaOne MOL 2.6.8 Working

All
Just a quick note to let you know that Geri has made MOL work under the new 2.6.8 Linux kernel. I have OSX and MacOS9.2 working great, it appears my usb scanner has even been found along with my printer, although I have to check these things out. As a real bonus sound also works on OSX. Big thanks to Geri for continuing his support of Linux/MOL for A1 HW. Gives us more to play with and prove the HW ain't as flaky as made out.

Man is that fast, reminds me a lot of Aweb. Give it a try. So far it is looking to blow IE out the water.

@GrumpyOldMan

I seem to remember that powericons should be removed from your startup sequence
or user-startup. OS4 no longer needs the hack but be sure to install the svg datatype.
Give that a go.

Same here but slowly everything is coming together. Mostly you will find it is down to our own sadly contaminated setups. have you tried Foundation (I have Gold works a treat).

Disgusting, when I get free software on aminor platform I expect it to be 100% from day one man. Please get your act together! You could be the reason our platform fails!!!

Seriously, thanks for the update. You are a gem.

@LiveForIt

I think he was referring to using E-UAE on a PC.

@Walkero
It is fairly easy, are you using the E-UAE gui at all? First step is to ensure your CDROM is NOT mounted under Linux.

Give me some more info and we'll go from here. For instance what is the mount directory your cdrom points to? Usually (Debian) /cdrom but for other linux flavours can be elsewhere like /mount/cdrom.
