@Jack
Good idea. I'd float a few questions which would be more appropriate to a support area as opposed to this news item.

I Just copied over the entire bookmark directory from my OWB 2.20 folder into the unpacked OWB 3.1 and the Bookmarks work fine here. (Copied and pasted my tooltypes over from 2.20, also) Paul

So far so good with 2.20.
Generally, I have a little trouble with pages not loading at newegg.com if I've gone back and forth between 15 or more pages.
Thanks for the further development.
Paul
btw, I just tried the preview button here at amigans and it worked OK for me.

Thank you all for the input on this. My old CRT died last night, and thanks to the info here, I now have a new LG 22 inch flat/wide-screen up and running nicely at 1680 x 1050.

@joerg,
I didn't even have time to catch the 2.16 version so I didn't have any of the listed problems. You were too fast for me with the bug-fixed 2.17!
All I can say is that 2.17 works great on US eBay, at least in motors.shop.ebay.com/ Also, the problem someone else mentioned with 2.15 in which URL's would some times load half-way and then stop, seems to be gone now for me.
@Jack,
I'm curoius about the use of Hebrew fonts and typing. Is this something that can be set in the system settings, or is it specific only to certain programs which include the right to left typing capability? I can't even get this feature in the latest WordPerfect on the neighboring PC! For that matter, I can't seem to get it working correctly in Abiword under Cygnix, either, where it should actually work.

I put a Swiftech MCX159-CU in mine probaly about two years ago. It's been working great. It has a LARGE solid copper base with copper cooling pipes leading up to the cooling fan area. I had to trim one of the nylon nuts I used to mount it so it would clear surface mounted hardware on the CPU card.
Although, when I took out the original Sunon cooler, it was still working fine. Caveat: I also have 4 case fans and two oversize fans in the Antech power supply.

I have one of the parallel IDE cards. sii0680. Sorry I can't remember for sure who the manufacturer is. I think it was an "Orange" branded card.
I had two 80 GB drives on it. But one of htem died. I'm currently using a little 40 GB Seagate for my backup drive.

@QuikSanz
I had Kurt test my board with one of his special A1 DIMM's in addition to my current 512MB DIMM. With 1 GB of memory, it tested good after he performed the fix. I just haven't had the money to buy the additional memory yet.
I just recently put my Radeon 9250 into this setup. It has 256MB of memory and works fine.
I haven't seen any problems with transfers on this setup. I've transferred some large directories from a USB stick to hard drive and vice versa using Workbench and drag 'n drop with out problems. I do backups of whole partitions from one hard drive to another via CLI without any problems. Transfers of large, whole directories from a CD to a hard drive via Worbench have also gone without problem.
The only problem I've been having ---just recently--- is URL's not finishing loading in OWB. But similar behavior is happening on the XP box on this same network, and coincidently after my ISP had to go to another provider to them because of a broken line. So I don't think it's really an A1 problem.

Kurt's work also includes the USB fix in the deal, if I remember right. My USB is fixed too, at any rate.
As others have noted, the VIA IDE isn't the best. But I use a Sil card for my hard drives, and run the optical drives from the VIA. Best of both worlds.

More good progress, both with the browser and with PEB's address book.
Don't forget to take a look at your tooltypes, everyone, so you can set it up quickly again (especially screen DPI's)

Comments not showing in file lister

I can't get the comments field to show up in anything when I open a directory in a window. I have all five fields checked off in prefs (date. filename, etc., including comments) (sorry not at my Amiga now to give better detail on this) but a comment never shows up, not even a header indicating a place where it WOULD show up if it was there.
Just wondering because I'm working on a WB theme, and added a comment to one of the graphic elements, but it doesn't show for me.

@orgin errrr. . . oh, yeah. I didn't even look at the tree. Sorry. I was wondering even when I read it what the references to adding the comment with a browser were all about. Now that you point out the context to me, that makes more sense. I'll repost it as a new question in the OS4.x area. Paul

Thanks for the offer of help. Today I went in to make a few further adjustments to the theme, and after a reboot when ImageFX locked up, the title bar came up with rounded corners and no background in the corners anymore. I have no idea why. ImageFX didn't give any option for color depth when I saved the files. It only offered check boxes for saving alpha channel, interlace, and file comments. Paul

@abalaban Quote: abalaban wrote: if you wish you can rework them in a paint program. Some of this pictures override settings of the GUI program (for example the window title bar IIRC)
Can you (or anyone else for that matter) offer a hint about how to change the titlebars in ImageFX so the black background of the titlebar image doesn't end up showing as black instead of invisible? I got the rounded corner title bar changed to a color I wanted, but I can't figure out what I should be doing to avoid the "corners" showing up after modifying the image. Obviously, I'm not very adept at using ImageFX past the basics. I assume it has something to do with the alpha channel in the png image. But I've tried opening and saving the file both with and without the alpha channel, and it makes no difference. Either way, the corners end up showing. Thanks for any advice. Paul

I figured out how to make an installable theme now, after looking at what you had in your GW theme.
