I tried a couple of videos .vob and .xvid with your port on my sam460 with radeonHD 4670 and it seems to work, i don't know if the aspect ratio is correct because i compared it with dvplayer and liveforit port and they show the aspect different

It uses a classic CR2032 and for my experience it doesn't keep the charge for a long time..... normally a new battery should give 3,2 / 3,3volt, below 3,0 / 2,9volt you should replace it with new one

ok i wait from you a non-altivec version to test on my Sam460, for now on my system with radenoHD sdl driver of muimplayer is faster than cgx_wpa, and Andrea Palmatè's sdl mplayer is the fastest and has best syncronization audio/video although DVPlayer remains on the TOP

Sorry, but that is incorrect. Use of DMA to transfer to/from VRAM is currently only available on Sam4x0 machines. This should change at some point in the future.

yes Samo you're right, if we could have a general version LiveForIt will get more testers, i think we will not get a lot of speed improvement from composition version but better than nothing... and however we can resize the video and lose only few details, sdl mode will be slower than composition specially when you try to enlarge the window... i noted on my Sam that use of DMA improve a lot graphics performance and responsiveness

Should Odyssey generate user agent variable in env / envarc or not? And when? First launch? Is it better to don't touch it because Odyssey has its internal dynamic user agent string?

i'm not a programmer but i think because sdl version could use WritePixelArray()/BlitBitMap() functions more than the others and in Sam machines they're very well optimized using DMA intensively and the result is less cpu usage and faster video play

Did you check if there's in your envarc that variable? If you've it obviously you get google in desktop version, i don't know if "1" is the correct value or what it match to, probably Fab can answer us... but now with it works properly

i've just found the problem, in our Odyssey port may be it doesn't create a proper user agent variable in envarc, if you put in env (and in envarc) a file called OWB_USER_AGENT (you can create it with notepad and inside it i put 1 as value), you can see when you search something with google it will be a desktop version...

with latest version 1.0 of RadeonHD driver there's a big improvement (at least on my Sam460 with Saphire 4670) as i wrote in Amigaworld thread now i can watch youtube videos in 400x240 with 98% cpu busy and audio/video syncronized, i use Fab's internal html5 video player and his script youtube conversion, for my testing it has been the fastest
