Re: Amiga 30th Anniversary Event - UK

@Chris

It's quite a big space inside, unfortunately all the floor space is taken up with retro computers, consoles, arcade machines and a whole host of other cool stuff.

There are also no outside display possibilities, no space fr tents, display tables or anything like that.

Got to admit it is a cool place to visit, I was there earlier this year and spent a couple of hours just walking around.

@magic

Unfortunately it's not just a boot issue, both 12" & 14" are in bit and need reassembly.

Is it possible to select an area where text is to scroll?

So you have a boxed off area that you want text to scroll up when an up button is pressed and to scroll down when a down button is pressed.

@ChrisH

Not sure about the 12" iBook but as for the 14" iBook I made the mistake of taking it apart in hopes of installing a larger HD.

Was able to change the HD and before putting it back together booted it up and installed MorphOS and it worked fine.

I then reassembled the machine and it boots as I can hear the HD spinning up and the caps lock key works so the keyboard is OK however I just get a blank screen.

I think I may of disconnected/snapped or just generally damaged the screen connector, I still believe the screen itself is OK.

Wanted to be able to use Hollywood Designer as I'm creating something similar to PADD but the other 12" iBook I have it installed on it a bit limiting due to screen real estate and would like the 14" iBook working.

I have Hollywood installed on my Sam but wanted a "laptop" so MorphOS was my first choice.

Thank you for asking your MAC guy, I have 1 12" iBook and a 14" iBook, I beleive it would be possible to get both working however I just have the know how to repair them.

Once again, in advance, thanks for getting in touch with your MAC guy.

@ChrisH

Do any MorphOS users attend ANT meets? or are there any people that would be able to repair an iBook?

Just wanted to ask before I make the three and a half hour journey.

iBook G4 14" in pieces

Howdy,

I have an iBook in pieces, I took it apart to install a new HD and wanted to install MorphOS.

I managed the above and while I still had the iBook in bits I booted into MorphOS which it did OK (didn't want to put it together and realize it didn't boot).

I then put the machine back together and booted, the HD spins up, and the caps lock works showing the keyboard to be ok however I only get a grey screen.

Wondered if there were any hardware guys close to West Yorkshire UK who could help?

I have an iBook 12" which I managed to disassemble and put back together to get working with MorphOS so I'm not a complete clod but screen real estate on a 12" iBook limits what I can do.

Is there anyone close that can help?
