Re: Qt Native News
Not too shy to talk
Not too shy to talk

Qt for AmigaOS has come a long way and it now seems all bounty requirements are met. Still there's probably bugs to remove which I'm sure Alfkil will do that as they are reported;)

I will transfer the bounty funds to Alfkil monday morning, so now it is the LAST CHANCE to make a donation for the QT project. Could we get past the 800 mark?

Best regards
Troels, amigabounty.net

"Amiga also donates a portion of the profits of each sale to charities and other organizations."

I'm pretty sure a sentence like that would be illegal marketing where I'm from. At least it would need to be much more detailed (who and how much of each sale).

When Amiga Inc uses marketing like that it just smells like another scam. I wonder how Bill McEwen can sleep at night with business practises like that.

I consider the bounty complete but hope Robert considers the points Trixie and Kas1e made for future updates.

As Trixie says this OpenAmiga/amigabounty project has been done in an almost perfect way with great communication from the developer and valuable input from testers/users (thanks to Robert, Kas1e and others).

I've added a bounty for libpurple. This is the heart of Adium and Pidgin. With this library The Amiga could have a world class IM client.

Cheers,

@angelheart
We still have one loaner system standing here right next to my A1, so if any developers have projects they want to port or do for AmigaOS4 please get in touch.

@Hyperion
it somewhat astonishes me that when announcements are made at shows like Amiwest no one in Hyperion (that would be Ben, right?) takes the time to summarize what was said (by Hyperion) and post it on the Hyperion website.

I'm quite certain that I can't be the only person who is interested but hasn't got the (money to attend) or time to sit and look at low quality streams trying to catch every word that is said.

@ChrisH
Ontopic.
Sounds great and a development in this field is needed. When was the release date planned to be?

I contacted Alexandre two weeks ago on this subject. Basically he has been having problems with his A1 dying, motivation and free time, so unfortunately not much progress has been made since last update.

He's got a SAM Flex now and is hoping to get help with wxWidgets from another developer I can't say much more than that just now.

I have pointed him towards this thread.

With our Paypal account restored we're finally up and running again

First loaner system has been shipped to Robert Szacki in Poland last week.
Among other projects Robert is working on the 32Bit Icon editor for which donations can be made by clicking here.

We have another loaner system available, so if you want to take on one of our bounties but are in need of hardware to do so it might be possible to loan a system.
To help cover the shipping costs of the loaner systems I have opened a bounty called Amigabounty expenses. Donations can be made by clicking here.

Thanks for your support

@kas1e

I think there's light at the end of the tunnel now. Got in touch with Paypal via phone again and they actually looked at the documents I had provided them with and found that they had everything they needed. So case is sent to limitation team with a message of fast handling etc.

Reason I didn't want to set up another account with Paypal was that I didn't want it to be freezed suddenly because they could accuse me of circumventing their rules or something.

Just to make everything clear, ALL money sits safe in the Amigabounty association bank account in my local bank (Not Amagerbanken) and I hope to get paypal problems sorted this week.
