@everyone

I need some help here....

Q1 doesn't start.

Q2 starts, speed is brilliant but it's green.

Q3 starts but Menu graphics are messed up and game is super slow and graphics are a mess.

Quake 2 and 3 on OS4.1
Not too shy to talk
Not too shy to talk

Right.....

I have installed both.

I get a green screen in Q2, the main character (the hand with the gun) is fine, the rest is totally green.

What am I missing?

Do I need to install MiniGL 2.0? Or does it come with OS4.1?

Quake 3:

Green and textures all messed up. When it finally loads a game it stutters and it moves at about 1fps.

I have also tried ioquake3 but double clicking the icon does nothing.

Doom on the other hand is perfect!

If I am not mistaken, I have sent Laurent the ones with blue, gold, black and silver logos :)

Latest batch of Minimig cases

Not too shy to talk

Hi,

I have finally received the latest batch of the new, slightly improved Minimig cases.

I'll be sending out all the the pre-ordered cases in the next 7-10 days.

Thanks to everyone who bought one.

I have taken a couple of extra photos, check "The Collection" link here:

http://www.loriano.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Scelta.htm

As you can see they all come with different colour adhesives so people who hate it can just peel it off

I have some left if anyone is interested.

The new core for the Minimig should be out soon. Jakub is working on an ARM controller which fits in place of the PIC and gives extra features.

Well, that is it really.

Thank you

>>A demo of Amy's Fun23 Adventure can be found on Aminet here: Amy's Fun23 Demo
A screenshot of the main menu of the program can be found here: Any Fun23 Main Menu
Rated for kids 2-6 years of age.

A review of "The Dinosaur Discovery Kit" can be found here; Read Review!

I also discovered that the Kid Pix Demo runs perfect on OS4. Just assign it about a 640x254 8bit screen in Screen Preferences and it looks and works great. It's a nice little kids paint program. You can find it here: Kid Pix Demo

Excellent! Thank you very much for the links

Both, but mainly classic (for now).

I was mainly looking for a good maths program for 4-7 years old, something funny and interesting, not too complicated.

I will have a look at those titles you suggested.

Thank you

It's "Click-Boom".

Alright then, Click-Boom It was a typo.

Are you sure that 'Quickboom' isn't pirated ware?

Nope, I have got the original CD in its box but it doesn't work when I run the 68K version.

Payback - 68k version works fine
Wipeout2097 - download the WarpOS emulation wrapper

OS4.1, classic applications and games
Not too shy to talk
Not too shy to talk

Hi,

I have been "playing" with OS4.1 for a couple of days and I thought to insert an old CD I had from my Commodore A1200 days.

I was surprised to see that y favourite paint program ran straight from the CD;

PPaint7.1

Excellent I thought.

I also ran, from the same CD:

ImageFX and it crashed OS4.1
Lightwave and it crashed

so I installed Quickboom's Quake and it crashed so how do you run the following software under OS4.1?

Quickboom's Quake or any other alternative Quake?
Hyperion's Quake2
Quake3? (Where do I get it from? I have Q3 Gold for Windows)
Hyperions's Heretic 2
Any classic Amiga game? (How do I run those classics, what is the best way?)
Hyperion's Shogo
Hyperion's Freespace
Genetic Species
T-Zero
Wipeout 2097
ImageFX
Real3D
Lightwave
Payback
Myst

Do the 68K programs run emulated without user noticing it or doing anything?

Or is there a native OS4.1 version of the above software?

Any more suggestions?

Thank you

@TheDaddy

On a different note, how hot is your SAM board?

I have had it on for two hours and almost all the chips are hot to the touch, what about yours?

Could it be that easy?

Nope, it makes no difference, I still can't access UBoot.

I get this:

"CLT : Time out, giving up :20"

or something like that

@everyone

More great news!

I have managed to put my hands on another keyboard and the left and right Amiga keys (Windows) work!

I don't know why they don't work on hte other keyboard...anyway another problem sorted.

All I have got left is t find out how to make the keyboard available to UBoot. At the moment UBoot doesn't see the keyboard at power on, it says only one device found (the USB mouse).

It seems obvious that the keyboard doesn't answer quickly enough to UBoot and Uboot says timed out...

Any help on this?

Good news!

I have sorted the problem with the "# ~" not being recognised by OS4.1!

I have added 0D to the GB keymap and now the key "# ~" ABOVE the Enter key works fine! YES!

So I have only got to figure out how to make the Amiga keys work (both Windows keys, left and right).

At the moment they aren't seen by OS4.1 not even for a CTRL+A+A reset.

This keyboard has all the keys know to man!

The two Windows keys (left and right) the Menu key the Alt Gr etc...

But for some reason OS4.1 doesn't see the Windows (left and right A).

HELP!
