Happy New Year from AmiKit ;)

AmiKit is here for more than a year and I have to say that I really enjoyed every moment working on this project. I met a lot of new people and made a lot of new friends. I'd like to thank to all of you who devoted your time, energy and effort into AmiKit! It would not have been what it is without your help.

AmiKit is now used by more than 600 people on regular basis (according to number of downloads of the live updates) and I'd like to thank to all of them for their feedback, support, bugreports ...and using the AmiKit of course! It is you, the AmiKit users, who keep my enthusiasm up!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

AmiKit 1.2.8 Live Update available
Quite a regular
Quite a regular

Hi everybody!

Since AmiKit supports a Live Update feature, the content of the AmiKit environment can be updated very easily and often. However, in order to keep the users always up to date, the changes are sometimes minor and not worth a news item. That's why such an updates will be announced here, if you don't mind

AmiKit 1.2.8 update (27-Dec-2006):

- ADDED: Experimental IBrowse Flash Plugin 1.14 (Please be aware that some flash files may cause this plugin (and therefore IBrowse too) to crash! The plugin can be deactivated in the IBrowse MIME type preferences.)
- UPDATED: Ken's IBrowse images (AmiKit:Internet/IBrowse/images, those with _Ken suffix)
- UPDATED: SimpleMail 0.30
- FIXED: AmiKit - ScreenMode AmiKit 1.4 (AWeb and IBrowse TrueType font settings were ignored)

Complete history log is here.

Thanks for using the AmiKit!

yes, what a shame the company itself did not provide enough screenshots to promote the product. The news also appeared on www.osnews.com however ex- or non-Amiga users have no idea how amazing this new OS looks like. A screenshot link is needed at www.amigaos4.com please.

And please somebody tell the news to Amiga Inc. Their site looks still the same...
