Bullet.library is 68k, what? Did not expect that TetiSoft suggested / talked about Bullet.library at Amigaworld so assumed it where PPC native.

Did not notice ft2.library I will have look at it.

@acefnq

CIA A and B is hardware timers used on classic Amiga computers, basically almost all classic programs uses CIA for timing.

The ?CIA.resource? is a tiny API that enables a programmer to ask for a free timer interrupts, but the interface is minimal and the developers often most write directly to address space owned by the CIA CHIP to configure the timer.

I now what's coming, this is exciting, may not be Amiga native, but it will open up a new world.

2007 the year it all begins to change.

It is native just that the programs depends on X-Windows for graphic output.
For example these programs can take advantage of the Amiga data type system or AHI.

The problem we have whit porting Linux programs to Workbench or native intuition screens is there heavy dependents on GTK / QT this GUI systems again depends on X-Windows, if we can replace GTK or QT libraries whit some kind of replacement then we can remove X-Windows, theoretically from most Linux ports.

Let?s say we just remove GTK GUI system and replace it whit Reaction, we can do that, but then it will take more time to port programs to AmigaOS4 whit little gain.

So what we need is GTK for Intuition whit no dependencies on X11, if we like avoid X-Windows.

@abalaban

If it acts like serial port then all you need to do is open the a1serial.device and the correct unit number.

@abalaban

IrDA port is basically the same as COM port (or seriell port).

You probably need some kind software to use it for what ever you?re thinking of.

UFO enemy unknown started but just opened a back screen.

Simon the sorcerer started but the graphic where not displayable.

I did get one demo working.

I?m where exited about this program, any one else have any success whits this new minimal CIA A/B chip emulator?

How about some type of copy protection, for example, you need a UBOOT variable whit vaild OS4 license number to boot AmigaOS4.

@acefnq

Check ATA cabling, floppy cabling, check that video card is it AGP/PCI socket, check RMA is in its socket, you can also try disconnect every thing you do not need, to try to exclude hw components from your problem.

I would be interested to know how E-UAE and integrated AmigaOS4 emulation compare in speed!?

OS4 Interpreted emulated programs, often get boost from OS4 system functions, you hardly notice that programs are emulated, because the GUI, SOUND, DATATYPES and every thing else is running as PowerPC native assembler code.

E-UAE ties to mimic a Classic Amiga, and there for tries to time every thing correctly, AGA, PAULA, CIA, Copper and bitter every thing needs to be emulated, and all this eats up CPU clock cycles like crazy, there is number of setting you can play whit get E-UAE running faster, quality reduction for audio for example, and many other settings.

OS4 JIT emulation is almost as having PowerPC native executables, 680x0 Machine code basically gets translated to PowerPC Machine code, the JIT generated code is not as optimized as PowerPC code generated by a C compiler like GCC, because the CPU flags and Data and Address registers need to be emulated correctly, so deepening on the code your tying to emulate you get different results.
