There is a review wich says that it woun't work with WPA

Is it true? I've two A1200s wich does WPA just fine with latest prism.device.

http://os4depot.net/index.php?functio ... driver/network/prism2.lha

This says it does WPA, can I use this with it?

Is this problem mentioned here already?

Mouse pointer is targeted wrongly, it is like ghost pointer wich is couple centimeters upper than real mouse pointer.

I've usb mouse and sam 440ep flex with all OS updates.

Re: The Amiga Porting Team

I would really suggest that there should be list of possible ports and short description what needs to be done/possible problems, missign depensies etc.

Is is difficult to found possible sources, internet is jungle without a map.

I prety sure that there has been hundreds of effort wich hasn't lead to anywhere. Somebody start to compile game/app only to find out that something importan is missing, or just don't want to do what it would require. Possible somebody else does same thing in next week...

Another good idee would be some kind of "pre porting semi coder" :D wich would mean that somebody could sort and seek possible engines in advance and priorize them.

1st Amiga value, mean is there a already game like this
2nd How hard it would be

As a matter of time, there should be some categories. So that games wich doesn't require much time and effort could be ported in real time. List of mostly SDL games that could be ported in 5min - 1 day.

As we all know that when we start to work quite much time is spended to seeking possibilities and possible problems. Could be usefull if porter could start to work immediately when he get sources and know what he should do in advance.

This could be usefull also to others who are not members of porting team.

When you prioritize ports, you could consider this point, there is NO car and sport games for Amiga OS4.

There is no point to port tons of games wich we alrady have. So priority ONE should be those games wich gives something new to Amiga OS4.

You must have different version than us??? This version from aminet requires AmiTCP assign and correct folder structure. netfs.handler ned to be AmiTCP/L folder, or it doesn't work. I tried what you suggested and it started to asking AmiTCP,

Re: File transfer between Amigas

OK now it works :) netfs.handler needed to be AmiTCP/L

I must say, it works like a dream 250kb/s to my A1200, I transferred 178mb really fast. Or at least if I compare speed to "from A1200 to A1200"

Native version would be nice, but this was very pleasant surprice.

It is nice how it show my 68k Amiga devices on my OS4 desktop.

GUI would be nice, I belive that would be easy task for someone, or me :) What would be easy tool to make gui for shell command?

Re: File traansfer between Amigas

Still doesn't work :(

I created AmiTCP/BIN under the Workbench:Internet/AmiTCP/BIN

I can assign AmiTCP: so path is correct, but it still can't found handler.

It can't possibly care upper/lower case?? I mean bin is typer in upper case BIN

As about GUI. It is just personal opinion. I do a lot Win2k8/exchange2010 shell scripting and I hate it, it is just like eighties.

Re: File traansfer between Amigas

Problem

I created a service named amiganetfs, it uses TCP port 2500, then I created server, browsed to file netfs.server, I put it in DEVS:Servers. Configured it to use amiganetfs service.

netfs.handler is in L: and netmount in C:

Everythin is seems to be OK

When I try to netmount 192.168.0.20 work work1, I get error AmiTCP handler not found, it asks to assign AMiTCP, if I assign it to L: same error.

How do I get it found netfs.handler??

Small gui would be nice :D

I've some problems with it, usually big files fail some point of transfer. Is there something I can do to it?

What I'm supposed to do with netfs.server and handler? I copied ntfs.handler to L: but, server is still a mystery :(

Should I configure it as a server with a internet prefs??

Maybe it is installed with genesis?

File transfer between Amigas

I have one OS4 machine and 2 classics in my lan. I can easily transfer files between OS3.X amigas with NETMOUNT command, but to transfer files TO/FROM OS4 machine I need to turn on my PC.

Any solution for that? Good one would be AmigaExplorer OS4 version, but it not possible. So what are my options? I rather do it with my PC than setup Samba.

I have also tried Envoy, but seems that installer is broken? Or at least it doesn't install any of my amigas.

Didn't know that Alinea still sell Art Effect and Amiga Writer. Art Effct is generally cheap quality product and worth of buying even it is 68k app

Question is, anything else that is worth of buying?
