I should hopwfully be getting my CPU module returned with a 1Ghz 7457 in place the dead 800Mhz processor pretty soon.

Hopefully things will pick up a bit once OS4 is finally out of the door. I think Big Bash was certainly worth going to last year anyhow. I probably wouldn't have got my GP2X if I hadn't gone.

By the way is your little girl still hogging the A1?

I was going to suggest lending it to Paolo Cattani to get Virtual Grand Prix 2 ported, sadly it looks like he may abandoned it. I really hope I've got this wrong.

There's also Pixel32, seeing as ChainQ did the OS4 port of Free Pascal some time ago already.

I made my donation to Sputnik, maybe IBrowse will use Marcik's KHTML mcc in the future or maybe it'll be that good they wont need to.

I expect that MorphOS developers must have had more time to spend on 3D drivers, and therefore had more time to solve the issues with 8500 and 9100 cards.

There are 4 people responsible for MorphOS 3D, although I'm not sure what other parts they work on.

AFAIK only Hans-Joerg and Thomas work on Warp3D and we know they have plenty of other responsibilities.

They are moving from Warp3D to OpenGL, and drivers for faster cards will come after that.

Jens Shoenfeld said that a buster chip could be implemented on the FPGA, allowing for thord party Zorrow slots to be added. I wonder if a video slot could be implemented to allow the use of a Video Toaster.

There were several different revision of PPC chips used in the A1, Maybe some of them have working temperarue monitors.

If the ram doesn't work check the hardware list on Intuition Base. You can check to see if the ram you already have will work in pairs.

If it isn't check Ebay for a pair that is supported. I had 256MB of Crucial ram and wanted to get another 512MB. I never got to find out that configuration worked, because I managed to get used pair of 512 stick for half the price of one 512 including shipping from the US.

I'd tell you what ones they were but the heatsinks I added are clipped on too tight to remove, I just broke a precision screwdriver driver trying to loosen a clip. Now there's dedication.

IIRC the Sam440 design allows for different variations of the board on the same production line. If Ainc/Hyperion insist on dongelisation(is that a real word), boards destined for OS4 users could contain something the others don't.

I also read something about the Sam team being interested in having MorphOS running one the Sam440. If this is the case then they obviously don't want to limit options to desktop users.
