Re: password hacked?
Not too shy to talk
Not too shy to talk

As tonyw said, someone hacked aw.net in 2018 and all passwords in the database was leaked/sold to some f''ker who spread/used them to spammers to guess/hack/blackmail the linked e-mail adresses on aw.net.

A lot of aw.net users experienced these same bullcrap blackmail e-mails,
but what ever you do, don't fall for it and pay!

In my blackmails I got a password that was all wrong, like encrypted, been a member since 2005? And doubt they encrypted passwords back then, if they even do it now..

So change your passwords often, whatever page you're on!

EDIT: There is an easy way to look if your e-mail has been hacked

https://haveibeenpwned.com

Which shows potential breaches where your e-mail was pwned,
but don't panic if it shows up, it could be a long time ago or
just that your e-mail adress was in a database that was hacked.

So never use the same password for your e-mail login as you do on forums/other sites, just change your e-mail/forum/site passwords,
and do it often!

Be safe, stay healthy and alive!

I think the slow download speed is just temporary(maybe too many downloads at once), I noticed it too, but kas1e's site is generally much faster.

What about unsecure password storage?

That should be the next big fix in Odyssey, we can't have passwords dwellin around in /conf/Passwords.db in pure ascii form.
That should be no.1.

@Raziel
On the first problem link I get an recoverable DSI Error when scrolling with mouse wheel and reach -

"Dec 17, 2019: Westwood’s Blade Runner (1997) is finally available for purchase as a digital copy"

and also a lot of disk activity before the DSI. But I only get an DSI Error the first time I visit the page, If I close the tab and visit it again no DSI Error. Only when I quit and restart Odyssey I get an error again.

On the second problem link I get no problem at all. How long should I wait?

Edit: Forget what I wrote, I too got a freeze on that second problem link.

Odyssey 1.23 r5_beta05 - AmigaOS4

-- fixed memory leak in ac_free_video_decoder done by Piru on "acinerella" (FFmpeg wrapper simplifying work with FFmpeg: https://github.com/astoeckel/acinerella/)
-- for time being use back static libavformat.a instead of shared version till proper changes will have a place (that to avoid crashes in ffurl*)
-- debugging: added cross-platform D(bug("...")) define (see Base/debug.h), thus on OS4 always use DebugPrintF() instead of kprintf() and get rid of Clib2's libdebug.a
-- get rid of libaos4deps.a, which contain sttcpy() and DoSuperNew() realisations, those functions now in separate object.
-- updated youtube scripts to the latest ones from Fab's page.
-- get rid of CyberGraphics everywhere in favor of graphics.library (c) Capehill
-- added support of compositing video in fullscreen mode. You can have as many videos in different tabs as you wish in fullscreen, not just one as with overlay (be it P96 or CGX5). Also fixing some bugs in MediaPlayer while adding compositing video (c) Ami603 with help from Hans & Capehill.

@Raziel

Are you using the Catweasel with the old PC and want to install it the new PC?

If so, I would use the Catweasel in the X1000 if I where you and use ADF-Copy on the new PC,

If not, are you usíng it with the X1000 in a new case without a 3,5" bay?
Just use an 5.25" to 3.5" adapter mounting-kit

I'm using the Catweasel in my X5000 and ADF-Copy on Mac.

Main use of the Catweasel is real SID's in Ian's VICE X64 version, Amiga floppys and as soon i've built an CDTV-A4000 adapter i'm gonna ditch the CDTV keyboard-Keyrah-X5000 solution.

Thanks for the answEr! <-- ;)
So now you got Catweasel and an ADF-Copy!
Need a GreaseWeazle? I have two. Just send me a P.M. ;)

Yeah got a Catweasel mk4+ myself and would like to try code an Catweasel SID player for the onboard SID chips, so Ian ís the go to
man for knowledge I guess.

My search for "Catweasel" generates -

"SuperTuxxCart

They said there would be code"

I know there is a Catweasel thread on this site/forum!

I can close OWB without crash on the test video site, tried a couple of times to make sure,
but I get random DSI errors when going to the test video page, some times recoverable and sometimes it crash OWB(but it doesn't crash AOS).
