I have a Logitech keyboard, A1 G4, OS4 final, and Allkeys installed and doing a good job.
But I noted a strange fact: When I turn on my computer, as long as I don't touch the mouse (old model, not usb), the "multimedia" keys do not work (e-mail, www, search, and so on). If I move the mouse, then the keys work normally.
have you tried mmkeyboard? maybe this works better? no problems here so far. os4 native and working nicely. byebye...

- if you get the crash - just do a warm reboot (using your keyboard) - if it works - after rebooting use the "DumpDebugBuffer" command in a shell. a file will be written to your ram disk (don't know its name now). this file will contain a collected grim reaper log. byebye...

The "no time" syndrome caught it and it had to be replaced by a fixed (goold old) Installer.
but is this still scheduled? bb1 for example? the sdk installer looks nice but i don't think it is in a state to replace the current one. installerng has been in development for a long time - thought it just has to be "polished up" to be useable. isn't it a third party product? or has the os4 team taken over development of it? thanks and byebye...

stupid question but why isn't this set as default in the tooltypes? if this is better/faster in general? hi. when i use a true-color pointer, e.g. the one from os4depot, i get for a short period (1-2 seconds) a blank screen when starting up before the workbench is loaded/shown. going back to the "normal" pointer solves the problem but doesnot look so nice byebye...

problem with icon - drag and drop in rawbinfo

here's a problem with icons:
if you have an icon belonging to a drawer but the actual drawer is missing you cannot use this icon as a drag/drop source using with rawbinfo.
example: - get the masonicons for yam from masons homepage (yammi.lha) - extract the archive to ram: - there is a drawer icon for "Parsers" (Parsers.info) but the drawer is missing - you can see it if you doubleclick on that icon - open *another* icon with rawbinfo (icon information) - try to drag the Parsers.info icon to that one (-> try to replace your icon with the masonicon one) --> this will not work
but if you do a "makedir ram:yam/Parsers" to create the actual directory it works as expected.

DATA/AUDIO is for 'pre made' data tracks and CDDA audio tracks. any mp3s you put in there will be uncompressed and saved as normal cd audio tracks.
@All
Has anyone else noticed this problem?
If I create a backup of my WB by d'n'd the partition icon on FP then a drawer is created with the same name and everything is put in there, no good if you want to boot it :(
If I open wb and show all files then serlect all and d'n'd that everything is copied to the right place (ie. the root) EXCEPT none of the icon files are copied (specially disk.info as it's hidden).
hmmm... if i remember correct the older version asked if it should add a drawer named "blabla". if you said "no" the files were added without that drawer. has that changed? Quote:
Niggles:
As yet I can see no way of installing the SLB so I cannot create bootable cd's anyway :(
even worse, the older version also was not able to create a "bootable cd" in terms of bootable from the early startup menu. this only could be done with makecd. afaik the so called sytem-id of the cd has to be set to "AMIGA BOOT" to make it work. i complained about that once and i expected it to be in the 1.0 version. byebye...

have you actually made a reset after installing it? the new assign (afaik) is only active after resetting. i don't get such a crash. be sure not to overwrite an old installation but to create a new directory instead.

But do save a backup, just in case.
the config file is ok. this is what the documentation is abount. have a look in the contrib drawer of the os4 cd: documentation/commodities/contextmenus.doc there the format is described and also the part with the tooltypes mentioned to be able to do program specific context menus. byebye...
