Can you try running videos from Ram Disk: ?

I am able to play some videos from Ram Disk: using RadeonRX V2.4, but it crashes when playing from SSD: (NGFS / SFS2 tested)

I can reproduce same RadeonRX V2.4 crash on A1222.
When I downgrade to V1.17, it doesn't crash.

Boot log also reports "System doesn't have full memory coherence. Compensating"

So can this problem be related to P5020 / P1022 CPUs ?
I guess it is not X5000 specific.

Just use latest RadeonRX 2.4 driver with public Uboot version

Emotion crashes the whole system after 1-2 seconds of playback. Tested with RX550 and RX560.

Geennaamm and me have the same UBoot version.. Maybe our problem is Uboot version + RadeonRX V2.4 version ?

Kas1e has a newer UBoot, but he does not have any problems with RadeonRX2.4 driver. And maybe A-EON testers were also using newer UBoot ?

I can confirm that V1.17 works as expected. Tested 1080p movies and Spencer3D.. No problems.

I can reproduce the last one with RX550 and RX560.

I also have 8GB in my X5000.

"On a second attempt I increased the stacksize of Emotion from 32768 to 4000000.

Now the movie plays for a few seconds and then starts to stutter. Play again normally for a few seconds before it starts stuttering again. And finally I get ta similar crash as the others. A freeze, complete crash and a black screen. It seems like the complete video driver has crashed."

Same crash happening on my system.

On the other hand, I think RX 550 / RX 560 is actually step down from R7 265 / R9 270

Yes..Sam460 Emotion 1.9 performance is very good indeed.
Even on A1222 it works fine.

I get AddDatatype crashes on each A1222 boot after installing Enhancer 2.0 , so I created a bug report, but it wasn't assigned to anyone.

Are you using latest AmigaOS4 beta kernels/components or public release on X5000 ?

X5000/20 + RX 550 same crash..Warp3D Nova OK

Sam460 + Sapphire RX 560 - Video Playback OK. Warp3D Nova Playback OK.

Sam460 + RX 580. No Output... Can not initialize

So this crash is special to X5020..(I am using latest OS4 Beta..maybe that is why ? But Warp3D Nova is working fine)

MSI Radeon Rx550 - Polaris12 (Radeon 550 2GT LP OC) works fine and is able to play 1080p videos on Sam460 with Emotion 1.9 and RadeonRX/VA.library. I had some freezes during playback, but it may be related to codec or harddisk

Result of my tests is as follows:

Sam460 + MSI RX550 2GB (Polaris12) - Works, video playback froze once. Warp3D Nova OK

A1222 + Asus Arez RX550 (Polaris11) - Works, no freezes (unable to test with sound). Warp3D Nova OK

X5000/20 + MSI RX-580 8GB (Polaris10) - Crashes after 3-4 seconds. No Warpd3D Nova

X5000/20 + Sapphire RX-560 4GB (Polaris11) - Crashes after 3-4 seconds of playback. Warp3D Nova OK
