Re: What is needed for speedup Amicygnix ???

Not too shy to talk

@acefnq

hope to see a fully working Gimp...

@CygnusEd

Excusme...but I dont think antialiased fonts and various theme changings will helps on gfx refresh(that was the real problem) a lot...
Also dragging wiondows was really slow...
I think (excusme my ignorance) that we need an optimized X server...that use gfx board blitter and capabilities for screen rendering...
I know that was an hard task and dont pretend it...but I think that was the only way to speedup AmiCygnix...

However AmiCygniX was quite usable for reading docs or
sheet with AbiWord/Gnumeric(my main use of it atm...)...

Good Work!

ho yes but...
Blender was under "porting" from about 2 years...I wonder when i will be released(i think the current OpenGL implmentation wasnt so fast/good to support it in adequate manner...)

I would buy lightwave for current Amiga hardware.

I mean the 68k Lightwave version that was really outdated and, I think, out of commerce from many years now...

@bean

I've a stability issue to report...
On my A1SE(512MB ram, Radeon9250, Audigy1, Sil680) after some time of playing(not so much) I got an hd lock(red light always tunred on and no disk operations permitted)...
I know that was rather "normal" on A1SE got problems like that, but if I use SiimplePlay to play same files I dont got any locks(or however the system stability was really much high than with TuneNET running)...
Any idea on why that happen? Did you need some test?
Thank you!

naturally the only other way to "fix" it was to use MUI interface for filer but I think that not possible...
Hope that Hyperion will put drag&drop asap :)

@orgin

Hi!
I've just tryed filer after few months and it seems to me really progressing :)
Only two thingI think it lacks to be a default filer for my WB:

1(much important) drag&drop functions(at least from filers)
2(less important) a bubble help to explain buttons

another thing to add

3(less importatn but nice to have) thunmbnails option for pics and more display options for the files (column/icon/etc etc)

excusme if that was just discussed...I'm tryed the filer as mentioned only today after few months...

However GOOD WORK!

Hi!
I've a problem in audio streaming with TuneNET...
I've a list of italian commercial radios that works only with mplayer and not with TuneNET/AmigaAMP two of them for example was:

Capital : http://live.mediaserver.kataweb.it/capital
LatteMiele : http://onair2.xdevel.com/LatteMiele

any idea? I miss something?
playing they on mplayer wasnt so comfortable...

thank you!

Hi!
GOOD WORK!!!!!

The only ugly thing that remains here was that when in SkinGFX mode when iconifing and that deiconifing not only SkinGFX appear but also the ReactionGUI...any chance to get a fix soon?

Another thing that I like to get was the possibility to search radio stations with the find functions also if no radio stations scanned(like on AmiNetRadio)

However TuneNet was one of the my PREFERRED AmigaOS4.x software!

PS Running on A1SE and OS41.
