the phoenix project now has a home - but no content yet. i remember that the pianeta hompage wrote that the phoenix project joins "dozens of Amiga OS4 programmers". are they too shy to tell us who they are? and about their projects? i mean "dozens" means at least two = 24 people. lets guess that 2 people work on one project - that would make 12 projects... we know one of them - firefox. what are the others? hey, guys. tell us more, please byebye...

with the july update they work as the work before. sometimes you get a grim reaper. this was also with upd final. hope to see an updated version. byebye...

Or even simpler: Take a look at the FROM option of the Assign command. In fact, someone should probably rewrite AssignPrefs (or make a similar GUI frontend) to produce the sort of file this option expects -- and which is also created by the complementary TO option.
as the assign docs don't explain it - what does it do?? thanks and byebye...

that's what came with the final update: version icon.library full icon.library 52.2 (10.12.2006) let me guess: you did not install on a clean partition like suggested? the final update was designed to be installed on a clean partition only... upgrading was not supported byebye...

Please be more specific about that.
Blanking and closing disk actually "locks" the IDE bus in a matter, that until the end of operation nothing else can be transferred over the IDE bus. So, once the operation finishes, everything resumes.
Don't put this here, because these two behaviors (reported and yours) do not match completely.
i see. that's what i experienced. the ide bus is locked and thus evey program trying to read from it just "hangs". this seems to be the reason lios dvplayer and transmission stopped. thanks for the information and byebye...

I have to try with latest FryingPan to see if the pb is with this one.
afaik this is "normal behavior". at least this is like it always has been working here. cleaning or finalizing a cd is always locking everything. this was the case with my old a4000 and cybppc and this is the case now with the a1 and a sil controler. i have no idea why this "must" be like this - maybe someone else can? it is usually annoying. byebye...

And how does your current code monitor CPU usage? I suppose it's a more accurate approach than what CPUClock docky does? Would it be difficult to add the possibility to filter dnetc, so that the CPU usage meter is still usable when you have dnetc running in the background? I've been told that most CPU meter tools on MorphOS do this already.
so doesn't dnetc use any cpu power then? byebye...
