I have way too long thought about buying a really good fused backup UPS for my X5000, guess your scary story convinced me to REALLY fix it once and for all.

Yeaaah! X68000 Emulator on OS4 would be very nice,
an old dream machine of mine.

Never bought the real hardware for my collection, tried the RetroPie version with my Retroflag(Raspberry Pi)Snes, but computers should be emulated on computers with keyboards and mouse! :)

Yeah would bet on the battery, had that happened to me once on my XE.
If not, SATA cables is the next suspect, got myself SATA cables with locking clips when I built my X5000.

Hope you find the problem and everything works out ok.

X5000/20 with the latest AOS update.

If you want anything else than DB9 joysticks -

I can recommend this - http://retroflag.com/Classic-USB-Controller-J.html

As an old SNES-Nerd I REALLY can't feel any difference to the original joypad, if you want an analog stick joyapsd I would go for Logitech, got an old Logitech Rumblepad 2 over here, works great with AOS4.1.

NO Amiga/Atari standard what so ever!

Yes there is a lot of different adapters DB9-USB adapters!

In my Sys:Prefs/Time "Remote"-tab "Timeserver"-input I have "sth1.ntp.se",
have worked great for me and my X5000 the last 4 years.

Just find a timeserver that match your timezone.
