@Cmdr_data
i dont know if this is the right forum to discuss the development of ur browser as it is the multiplatform one and we are discussing 68k questions. this forum is dedicated to os4. you might make na appearance on amiga.org or amigaworld.net or utility base maybe

@Cmdr_data
with ONOWNSCREEN in screenp96.cfg enabled i get:
OpenMonScreenA pos 30, 50 size 928,568 .. open = 1 Crystal: Can't open an P96 screen with type 0 Couldnt get an P96 screen pointer.
this due ppossibly to use bestmodeid method in order to recognize resolution, right?
when i set pubscreen to worbench then it starts allright on ma4k/mediator/voodoo system (under os3.9) i have problems with all apps that use bestmode, but anyhow since its possible to manage cfg file its not that big deal.
i would advice to put smaller links.html into the archive. the current loads aeons on classic. this might make impression browser isnt working at all.
it is also still needed to set stack manually.
i couldnt test extensively for now, but i think it is still too early yet. keep up the work anyway. i enjoy this.

@Gebrochen: actually the layout suits me well. loox somhow special, like these weird ancient apps of amiga, that didnt fit the style sheet: tvpaint, lightwave, imagemaster r/t, whatstheirname. otherwise lets make it skinable, but working in the first place.

@Cmdr_data: Quote: Well .. please wait for the next release before you send anything. Work has been done to improve speed and stability, note that there is a lot of overhead because of internal debug code.
sure:) i wasnt meant to put u under pressure. and yes. im aware that debugging takes time. all the best!

@Cmdr_data: figures, but then it only concerns the gui colors, i see, these were on my system correct from the beginning i suppose. @mrodfr: u are using 16bit screen depth, right?
well, long story short, as a rule the browser returns complete mess on most sites or fails. only sometimes basic structure or some elements are loaded correctly. i could send you the logs if you need it. do you still have a 68k machine yourself?

@Cmdr_data: actually i have simmilar comments as mrodfr to make. i only tried your stuff on the 68k. well, its very early stage but will be nice to follow the progress. all the best.
edit: btw what would be the content of respective p96 file? if its only a short ascii you might as well post it here

never seen something like that. but it seems it is some kind of gfx or productivity screen. as nubechecorre said already scala is made for pal, but if i remember right could open editor on another resolution. pal is default though, maybe you have some screen promotion commodity set?

@Fernecho you might consider amiblitz allthough it is 68k, not ppc native but the devs care for os4 and mos compatibility otherwise. it has sorta jungle of commands with all its includes alas, a little difficult to see through.

@ZeroG
i only compared mplayer port on 68k that happens to output video through mesa to the os4 port. os4 version performance on 150mhz classic is really poor compared to native players, and it is very difficult to find out right settings. i do not now if other display modes would perform better if there were any implemented (like picasso pip), but sdl seems to be very slow.

on sdl it is not even 2 times faster than a 68k-gl port on 060. is there no usable driver? there are videoplayers for wos that do better

I'm not sure the problem is that they are French (if they are at all), but rather that they seem to stupidly think that Flash is a web page markup language.
aww. how come i ask so stupid questions today. must be wednesday..

at ikir: yes, this is a problem. resolutions like 320x200 or 320x240 through vga input are not supported anymore on my novita tv2205 as it seems. this will probably be the case for most lcds these days. pity i had to replace my formac crt, but it become so blurry, you cant even watch 1280x1024 for an hour. 1600x1200 doesnt even seems more detailed.-?)
