Re: Micro A1 and Graphics

@slcroucher

My understanding is a pci9250 will work as long as you use pio modes for a1ide.device by forcing them into pio via uboot and also turning off usb in uboot. But whether thats the case with the public uboot or only the unreleased one I don't know. If you have a pci 9250 to hand you could try but i wouldnt rush out and buy one incase it doesn't.
Shame the update never got released but I guess it would be something else for hyperion to support if it did get released.

Change of protocol from UMS to MTP

Root your phone and install this

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22760184/and...y-UMS-v1.8.apk

Will give you back UMS for the External Memory Card.

Edit usual do at your own risk disclaimer applies.

BT HomeHub V2, as for wireless networks, several the street is quite saturated with them, as well as a few BT Wifi hot spots.
Not had the chance to try the card out in my XE yet.

I'd like to see an OS4.X sales graph . Hyperion wouldn't need to put any figures on it. I'm just interested in seeing if the trend is up, down or stagnent month on month.

@ncafferkey

Will do.
I assume it wont work in the A1200 / A4000(t) because of the missing DMA support for the Mediator. Does the atheros chipset support PIO ?

It's strange that it doesn't work for you, because I have also tested a WPN311 in a Peg-II, albeit a G4 version

Did the verbose output I PM'd from wirelessmanager look ok.

I noticed a lot of Unauthorised in it but is that normal ?

I'll post back the other details when I've installed ranger on it.

Using the atheros5000.device attached above, cures my DSI in C:Wirelessmanager but addnetinterface just times out.

PEG2 G3 600 - Netgear WPN311

See below

It wont help with his DSI but it is required because the catweasel prefs program verbosely complains if it is not in the path.

If you have a samba server running on your amiga you can use ANDSMB from google play.
If you have an ftpserver running on your amiga you can use ANDFTP from google play.

Alternatively if you have a NAS server on your amiga LAN which has a samba server you can copy data to that from the amiga using smbfs then onto the galaxy using ANDSMB or FileManger from google play.

@clint

No but the the process is the same:

Stick in Windows XP PC
Install Windows XP Driver for the PCI Card
Run Winflash
If it detects the card, read current firmware revision
Flash new firmware

Job done.

I can have a go at flashing them for you. PM if your interested. I've had success with PCMCIA Cards and the principle is the same. If it can't be done I'll post them back with the current firmware.

Download the prism2 driver look at the supported card list, goto ebay and search.
What I did for my A1200.

Another driver free option for wireless that often gets over looked is to buy an ethernet to wireless bridge and stick it side your BigBox Amiga case, if you have room, that way you don't use a pci slot up or processor resources on the encryption.
I use a Belkin one in my PEG2 with the aerial poking out the back.

I would assume AmigaKIT will have flashed the cards they sell to do WPA.

However, if you want to do it yourself with a netgear MA401, which can be picked for for a few Euros used, then see my guide here. (Post 54).

Once you have a Prism2 based card which is flahed to do WPA it can be used with the free prism2 device on aminet.

There is an offical fix download all the post update 6 updates, update runinuae etc, however if you haven't got the time for that right now.

Do this:-

type envarc:appdir/RunInUAE

To find out where your runinuae you appdir is:-

Then simply fix the corrupt file that was distributed in update4
copy sys:Emulation/AmigaROMs/Kickstart-34.4.rom

to your RunInUAEAppdir/WB31/Devs/Kickstarts/kick34005.A500

So slow it is unusable, bookmarks don't work [no save bookmarks window], and page loading is so slow I could boil an egg whilst waiting.
TW is much better on an SFS2 partition.

You can always try to speed FFS2 up using the plugins:-

they are in c: now

fs_cache_plugin

or change the flush_strategy, for example:-

fs_set_flush_strategy DH0: 1

Its well documented, see the sys:documenation/fastfilesystem drawer
