put in autoexec.cfg this line:
seta r_renderer "GLSL"

or if you want, change the line with "seta r_renderer ARB2" in default.cfg

@rjd324

On previous versions with renderer ARB2 there was normal that screen resolution has no influence to FPS.
I am not tested ARB2 with last version, only GLSL and there is difference in FPS, but not big. ( +2 FPS: 1920x1080->800x600 )

And regarding the configuration:
With some of old versions ( sorry, I an not know which version exactly ) .cfg in /base directory works also for timedemo, and .cfg from /demo was ignored.
I will try how it works with latest version.

And allways is better not to change default.cfg, but add new file autoexec.cfg to the same directory.
And in autoexec.cfg put only lines with changes, for example only line: seta r_renderer "GLSL"

Dhewm3 V1.5.5 Timedemo:

AmigaOne X1000+HD 7970:
800x600, All advanced options disabled, GLSL renderer, seta r_speedHackShadow "2.0" = 33.5 FPS
1920x1080, All advanced options disabled, GLSL renderer, seta r_speedHackShadow "2.0" = 31.4 FPS
1920x1080, All advanced options disabled, GLSL renderer, seta r_speedHackShadow "1.033" = 24.4 FPS
1920x1080, advanced options enabled + no antialiasing, GLSL renderer, seta r_speedHackShadow "1.033" = 11.2 FPS

800x600, advanced options enabled + no antialiasing, GLSL renderer, seta r_speedHackShadow "2.0" = 18 FPS

On X1000 perfectly playable.

Sam440ep-flex+R9 270X:
733 MHz, 800x600, All advanced options disabled, ARB renderer = 4.8 FPS
Hyperclock to 766 MHz: 5.0 FPS
Playable with certain patience

@walkero + others
many thanks for tips.

I just now registered MUI, so I upgrade it to 5.0.
I also check other enhancements - but I have no RTG, only AGA + Indivision with 800 x 600 resolution.

Classic 68k MUI - 3.8 or 5.0
Not too shy to talk
Not too shy to talk

Hi,
after 20 years with NG machines only I again purchased classic: A1200.
My configuration is A1200 + Indivision AGA + ACA1234 030/50 + FPU/50.

And I have question regarding MUI:

- last classic version I found is MUI3.8.
- what else except MUI I need to have a nice look of Workbench? Do you have some tips? MagicWB looks too historical today.
I had it 20 years before, but looking for something nicer

- what about MUI 5.0? Is it usable on my configuration or is it slow?
@walkero: I read somewhere you use MUI 5.0 on classic, do you have some experiences?

thanks!

Re: Enhancer Software Core Release 2

Not too shy to talk

@A-EON:

And what about Enhancer 2 - Basic ? Or Enhancer Utilities ?

I.e. full Enhancer without Warp3DNova, RadeonHD, RadeonRX, OGLES,
but with all other commodities, utilities, SFS2, libraries, commands and tools.

Why?

I have two full enhancers - for AmigaOne X1000 and Sam440ep-flex. I am using here modern PCIe graphics cards and I am satisfied.

But I have also this computers without Enhancer:
- AmigaOne XE - PCIe works, but last RadeonHD versions are probably not tested with XE and is a far less compatible than earlier versions,
- Sam440ep - PCIe works, but little Sam is very slow for this,
- MicroA1-C and Pegasos2 - cannot use PCIe cards.

I want also enjoy all Enhancer software except graphics on my older Amigas.
I don't want to copy this files from my X1000, and standart release of Enhancer is too expensive - I suppose that biggest expenses are development of graphics drivers which I not need.

If there is possibility of purchase Basic ( without enhanced graphics ) version, it will be great for me. And maybe it attract also others. And it will be additional small ammount for developers.

@HunoPPC - sorry, I will be busy with family over Christmas and New Year, ald this year I was busy wit testing Mini-ITX Amigas

X1000+HD 7970:
glsl:
1920x1080 - 16.9 FPS
800x600 - 17.6 FPS

arb2:
1920x1080 - 13.2 FPS
800x600 - 13.6 FPS

Sam440ep-flex+R9 270X
arb:
800x600 - 4.3 FPS

I will try tweak the confings on Sam and will let you know, like it works.

Please, is all configs controlled via Doom3-configs/Base drawer like in first versions, or Doom3-configs/Demo now works for demo?

Re: AmiCygnix export DISPLAY help

With classic ssh, it works this way:

on server /etc/ssh/sshd_config you need line: X11Forwarding yes

from client side you need to use parameter -X.
example: ssh -X 192.168.1.10 myprogram

this runs myprogram on 192.168.1.10, but video output will be on computer from you run ssh command.

But is possible, that SSHterm do not support -X option.
Look here https://www.heelpbook.net/2018/ssh-x-f ... ecure-alternative-to-vnc/ for example ( far down ).

What could be always on the mobo: LAN, SATA, sound card, possibly integrated gpu that could run AmigaOS4.1 with Compositing effects.

Other why not, but NEVER INTEGRATED GPU.
Micro A1-C is today very limited with Radeon 7000 + 32 MB VRAM, some games cannot be run, Warp3D Nova is totally no way here. And in 2004 it was fine card, and 32 MB was standart.

Also Mac Mini is limited, mainly due to low VRAM size, etc, etc...

Agreed, but the MicroATX format would still fit the bill for such a board.

@PixelHi
It depends on everybody's view.

I prefer extendable computes with many expansion slots. Somebody prefer a little ones.
For example in the beginning of MorphOS there was Pegasos 2 with 3 PCI slots. Slots was unusable that time, no drivers. Today it makes from Pegasos 2 much better machine with SATA-II controller, USB2.0, better sound.

My old dual-xeon workstation Z10PE-D16 WS has six PCIe slots, four full 16x, two 8x. I can upgrade it with PCIe NVME, more graphics cards and others.
If I have spare money, I was buy Talos II for sure. But as I said, it depends.
Some other people prefer to have single computer. Why not.

I have X1000 and also don't want buy X5000. Becouse there is no big difference. But if there will be Tabor, I am interested.
Today, I am not missing CPU speed on AmigaOS world. In real I am missing LibreOffice. And more big strategies like Europa Universalis

So I clearly undertant why you not want X5000. Some other people want.

@geennaam

according to my P1022 QorIQ Integrated Processor Hardware Specifications, Rev. 2, 9/2013 ( I am not know right version )

CPU P1022 in Tabor have three PCIe controlles and four SERDES (PCIe) lanes.

It means, PCIe lanes shoud be splitted this way:

1x PCIe x4 ... Tabor default
2x PCIe x2
1x PCIe x2, 2x PCIe x1
all PCIe connectors have dedicated PCIe root hub / controller.

BUT - it must have support in firmware to proper setup CPU during boot. And I am a little skeptical about it.
In PC world, minority of motherboards support this feature.

@geennaam
I know. It shouldn't work.

PCIe x1 to 3x x1 have a good chance to work. Becouse system is the same as on any PC, an there it is somehow works. In any case there is one PCIe root hub. And probably all three devices share the bus from one root hub.

But in Tabor case, I an not sure.
Normally splitters with more PCIe lines ( for example PCIe x4 -> 4x PCIe x1 for Tabor ) need free root hubs on motherboard, and you need made setup change in Bios/UEFI/firmware.

I have to read CPU manual, if it is possible on CPU level, and than second question is, if firmware allows it.

In any case, if works first example, can work also PCIe x4 to ANYx x4, sharing bus from one root hub. But in the case of Tabor it is far from ideal, as on the bus is graphics card.
