I don't agree same is true for Open Office / LibreOffice. Having functionality parity with Office 2003 plus DocX formats is enough, nothing useful got added to Word/Excel since then for home user. So it is not a moving target really. Apps like Hollywood offer different but actually more powerful system for presentations than Powerpoint does. Outlook is not useful. MUIBase with sqlite exists if you want Access type function.

Heck, I'm happy with running Office 4 for Mac via ShapeShifter...

thanks yes i thought so but wanted to check they hadn't done that on purpose ( in fact not sure why they bothered with a serial port at all except for debugging )

Well I don't even have an Amiga joystick any more but I have so many spare USB headers on this thing I thought it might be nice to put an Amiga joystick port on it to make it more authentically an Amiga!

thanks for the comprehensive answer. WinUAE/FS UAE have come so far it would be great if someone was able to port over all those changes. I know it's independent project but you'd think OS4 rights owners would want to have the best possible implementation of it especially it really is accurate 'software custom chips' for all but the most realtime critical use cases i.e. flashy demos which look nice but which are not "must have"

Well the version on os4depot crashed on launch, but i just tried the 0.95 version from the website and actually it doesn't crash, so that's nice. Still very rough around the edges though.

Since the serial port on the Sam460ex is male DB9, can one connect amiga joysticks to it? and does amigainput recognise them and allow their use?

Is there anyone out there interested to collaborate on creating a Bluetooth stack for AmigaOS (modelled on the USB stack architectures in terms of plugin device classes), probably porting BlueZ as the core as writing a Bluetooth stack from first principles is a LOT of work.

The only full themes i've got are the enhancer ones and the default ones. The BeOS one is pretty nice. Are there many other good themes around?
