@AmigaPapst

Ok 9000 Pro. Does OS4 final drivers already support 9100?

How fast is 9000 Pro compared to 9250 and to my 9200SE? Thanks so much.

I could get one of these (very cheap on ebay):

Is there a way to benchmark (like a demo) a configuration/setup with Quake3?

What is the command to see fps? EDIT: \cg_drawFPS 1

Quake 3, Quake 2 and performance under OS4 Final

Hi guys! This weekend i did some maintenance to my A1... finally changing PCI slot of my SB Live, audio while playing 3D games is ok.

Anyway Quake 3D often freeze at startup and its performance are not so good in multiplayer.

I use low resolution, medium models, low texture... and it is barely playable. I think it should much ore faster.

A similiar PPC Mac (1Ghz) runs it very good. On a Mac Mini Core Solo 1,5 (64MB gfx card) it runs at max res and max details under Rosetta emulation with same ram.

Ah sometimes it freeze in game too.

I have radeon 9200SE 128MB, 7445 G4 at 1Ghz, 512Mb ram. Quake 3 version for OS4 is quite old, indeed it is for update 4. Nobody tried to optimize it?

Last question... when a OpenGL Quake 2 version.

Do you suggest a different video card?

Never get setleves working from user startup. It works instead puttig it in WBStartup. Imho these things should be included into OS4 by default.

Not too shy to talk

I have downloaded lastest Frying Pan version (1.0a) installed with its script (yes to add Libs assign and default harmful devices definition)... but when i run it i got a visit from the GR about an ISI error (Instruction Storage Interrupt) RAMLIB: opening Optical. After that some programs like IBrowse don't even start.

PS: i have copied my optical.key into SYS:L/
