@zzd10h

It did not help...I have reinstalled it and it starts now.
Its not the first time. Previously QtWeb crash prevented all qt apps from running, even after reset. I had to reinstall the whole Qt package. And it happend several times. Ok, will see how it goes now. If it happens again I will contact you by email...If you don't mind...

About amiga forums and replies, yes, fully agreed but IMO number of dls (OS4Depot) is a much better way to estimate an active user base. Tell me, who did not want to try Timberwolf? 1086 dls is guite average. More scary, recent dls are very low

@trixie Chris

Mind the moaners wishing to use gazillion PCI/PCIe cards
I need only one PCie x16 for GPU and thats it...
On the other hand the newest trend is to sell mobos with external SATA/ethernet/sound while waiting for the onboard hw drivers )

As far as I see it Cyrus board is a kind of X1000 succesor but I think Trevor talked (AmiWest?) about mid-level mobo. I wonder what happend with that idea?

Re: Beta testing

Not too shy to talk

There was a qt.dummy.txt file in an upload section (OS4Depot). A readme file pointed me to the latest Qt 0.9.0. Installed it and had some crashes here and there. Probably because of not enough stack size. Everything works much better if runs through qtdemo but there is one problem. I cant use polish special characters. No matter what I set in QtPrefs (default or ISO8859-2) wrong chars appear. 0.8.6 was OK. There is a small bug in QtPrefs too. If I change font size, lets say to 15 pts after saving and reopening QtPrefs it shows '1' not '15'.

Re: New riddle from Acube?

I think Moana (MacMini support)is not a bad idea, now. OS is probably mature enough (or very close) to support some modern standards (radeonHD, some kind of multi processing, Gallium). All that you will get ONLY with a MODERN and NEW HW and AOS4.2...but if one want low priced HW with quite fast CPU but with no SATA, no PCI-E, very limited GPU RAM, why not? Especially now, when they fail to deliver low priced netbook.
...and ACube could sell a special, MacMini version of AmigaOS with a higher price. Who knows...
