@evilrich A little reminder about this one :- When you launch TFX from a P96 workbench. Game launches with the sound present but the video stays stuck at the p96 workbench. Native screen does not appear and cannot be brought to the front. Game works fine from Native WB / BWNSS Emulated AGA 68020 P96 AmigaOS/ROM files from AF2006 The 'beta' game was given away free with CUAmiga CD15 OCT 1997 Seems like yesterday. P.S. Updated beta TFX EXE's can be found here:- http://www.geocities.com/~charlie_x/

@Mikey_C
my 2p
To be fair there is a dispute and it needs settling for the platform to move forward... but as long as development doesn't end and those who have put 5 years worth off effort in get paid for their coding time I wouldn't be upset if Amiga Won.
OK possible hypethetical scenario. Hyperion settle and sell OS4 object and source code for 2 Million, pay the development costs, approx 1 million, according to the court docs.
OS4 Devs contracts get transfered under TUPE to Amiga.
NDAs get transferred or new ones signed with Amiga.
The OS4 show goes on with the same team but contracting for Amiga not Hyperion. Hyperion have a million in the bank to become the premier software developer of OS4 Games / Applications.
Down to the judge though mi amigo.

Agreed - it would only make us (the Kommunity) appear as naive as those that signed it.
As such a huge percentage of the kommunity have signed it I think it a bit harsh to be calling such a lot of people naive. Mikey_C's initative might not accomplish anything but there is no harm in trying , so long as it doesnt get sent to the judge.

@Lio
The only problem i have with a with E-UAE and USB joystick is that if its not plugged into my hub before i start E-UAE then it wont be recognised if i add it after starting E-UAE. So i just keep it plugged in to the hub all the time.

@Lio I guess if you can mount an iso under OS4 you might be able to use the a line like this in your CD32 E-UAE config. filesystem2=ro,CD0:CD0:XX0:,0 instead of scsi=true Where XX0 is the OS4 device name of your mounted ISO. I tried mountiso from aminet but it does not work under OS4 however, it can be used to mount an iso this way though which may or may not help you. Firstly I just created an ISO of pinball illusions on the PC. Its 515MB so to get it over to Amiga I stuck it on a USB Memory Stick. Now to make that USB Memory stick visable to AmigaOS under E-UAE add the following line(s) to your E-UAE config. filesystem2=rw,USB0:USB0:USB0:,0 filesystem2=rw,USB1:USB1:USB1:,0 Here my USB memory stick is USB1: Then we need to mount the ISO using mountiso mentioned above for reference grab it from here:- http://aminet.net/docs/help/MountISO.lhaUnpack this to a filesystem thats visible under E-UAE. In your AmigaOS E-UAE enviroment copy filedisk.device to devs SimCD0 + icon to devs:dosdrivers You might need to edit the SimCD0 mountlist as it defaults to l:cacheCDFS for it file system. Thats ok here as my 3.X partition is taken from AF2006 DVD set which uses CacheCDFS. Now edit the Unit tool type via the SIMCD0 ICON EG: for me The Unit is USB1:Pinball.iso Now mount SIMCD0 And you now have a CD32 iso mounted under E-UAE from a USB memory stick

@ScottCabit
I guess you could always try building an A1200 type config and then installing 3.1 under e-uae. If you have scsi=true in your config you can then install idefix, using uaescsi.device, from aminet. The cd32 emulator in that package may help then.
Worth a shot i guess ?

No mention of the A1200(T) ??? Has that been dropped.
I remember a poll on AWN a long long time ago to gauge interest for the BlizzardPPC Version maybe there was not enough interest.
Curious ????
Nice BOX cant wait to get a boxed Classic / XE version. Hope it comes with a printed manual.

@Helge
Well its not really a theory, but just a thought.
Isn't Amigas goal this OS5 digital environment.
Whether or not they need OS4 as a stepping stone or intend to build upon OS4 to create OS5 remains to be seen.
If you beleive the 20 questions OS5 been in development for 2 Years.
Guess it all depends wheather or not Amiga intend to Pay for the work Hyperion have done and take OS4 back in house.
First get your own hardware, then get OS4 back if you can if not, well weve got OS5 anyway.

I'm just wondering if we are going to see a change of the current A1 Hardware licence model here.
Rather than what has been done before with Eyetech paying a royalty to Amiga Inc for each AmigaOne Sold.
Maybe Amiga want a bigger slice of the PIE. And who can blame them for that.
I'm wondering if what we have here is start of "Amiga Inc." Amiga's, not 3rd party, AmigaOS4 compatible hardware.
So maybe, just maybe, Amiga pick up the manufacturing costs as well as ACK's design costs and then pay ACK a design royalty for each board sold.
Not thats its of much consequence to the end user.
But if Amiga have there own hardware, why do they have to give out licences to Troika or Acube.
This could be the first steps to taking it all "back in house"
In the press release it Amiga that says they will be working with the retailers, not ACK working with the retailers.

@ScottCabit Hi, You would have to emulate / play CD32 titles under OS4 using E-UAE from www.rcdrummond.netConfigure as discussed in this thread. http://amigans.net/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=408Edit Here is an example config kickstart_key_file=Amiga:Emulators/UAE/rom/rom.key kickstart_rom_file=Amiga:Emulators/UAE/rom/amiga-os-310-cd32.rom kickstart_ext_rom_file=Amiga:Emulators/UAE/rom/amiga-ext-310-cd32.rom joyport0=mouse joyport1=joy0 floppy0type=none floppy1type=none scsi=true cpu_type=68020 chipset=aga cpu_speed=max cpu_compatible=no cpu_24bit_addressing=no show_leds=true chipmem_size=4 fastmem_size=0 gfx_framerate=2 amiga.screen_type=custom gfx_width_windowed=400 gfx_height_windowed=300 gfx_lores=true gfx_linemode=none gfx_center_horizontal=true gfx_center_vertical=true
