Re: OS4 tcp/ip stack

@noXLar

Yuo must have public IPs.

My Network uses NAT, so I have Private/static IPs all Amigas. All internet traffig is done using one public IP.

Does anyone know sure that this allow all traffic, it is similar with Miami.

Service $ Host *.*.*.* Allow
Service * Host $ Allow

From Genesis settings.

Ping test is very Basic thing to do and I haven't doen this earlier. :( Shame on me!

They don't repond.

I can ping router and every Windows machine from any Amiga, but they doesn't ping eachother.??

Everything works, my homeserver samba shares, internet etc.

From Win machine ping works other Windows machines succesfully.

Means :

Amiga OS4.1Fe machine
Amiga OS3.9 machine
Amiga OS3.9 machine

I reverted back to Genesis. Found very annoying to tinker with text files.

I have these lines on Genesis prefs.

Service $ host *.*.*.* Allow
Service * host $ Allow

These should allow all traffic? Note that thing with Roadshow wasn't different.

It is like My Router Wlan had a Wlan isolation ON, but it it is OFF. And win machines can ping each other.

Firewall is very Basic all four setting are in this thread.

All my Computers connect WLAN except home server, wich is wired to Router.

I'm not sure what to blame either.

I'm not totally novice with tcp/ip, but this seems weird.

Am I right that there is NO ipf (Roadshow firewall) running By default?

Just wondering could it be some way my Huawei 4g rouuter? It has firewall with very few setting. Current state is "Low (filtering disabled)"

These are possible settings :

Filtering Mode: Disable
MAC filtering: Disable
IP filtering: Disable
URL filtering: Disable

So nobody has any suggestions why this doesn't work anymore?

I have same issue with roadshow 68k, I reverted back to AmiTCP to get rid of this problem.

Hmmm just wondered why it worked earlier with OS4.1up6? I'm sure I haven't done that earlier.

Edit surely it should work, I start Quake and create Network game. It uses port 2600 (haven't change it). Trying to join game, I type IP, so it tries to connect specifig IP and port? No need to routing.

All my Amigas has static IPs.

Firewall is not enable By default??

I don't use decicated server, just trying to start Network game with Quake.

It used to work, but now it doesn't.

Local network with private IPs.

Firewall without gui, doesn't sounds nice. :(

Sorry I wasn't accurate, server starts but nobody can connect to it. I tested it last time with OS4.1up6

Can't remember did I something with it or not, to get it work.

Is it same with 68k Roadshow?

I can't found any settings for incoming traffic. Does it block incoming traffic By default?

If so how do I allow all incoming traffic?

Noticed that my Quake can't start server anymore.

So Pegasos users has same situation than Sam 440ep Flex users? Best possible Graphics card doesn't have warp3D.

Sorry to bother you Hans with this but do you know is it still on the works?

If ACube (or someone else, UBoot is open-source) deliver an updated UBoot that fixes whatever is preventing these cards from working, then this problem would be solved.

There hasn't been uboot updates outside of manufacturer or hyperion.

There is a rumor tha acube will deal this issue, but...

Who else would have needed knowledge and skills to do that update?

Or

I would like to get confirm that there will be Warp3D driver for evergreen series. Who is doing that?

There is no working Radeon HD Warp3D solution for Sam 440 Flex. Will there be a one?

I would like to get Radeon HD card

*Radeon HD 5xxx-6xxx do works with Flex but there is no Warp3D.
*Radeon HD 7xxx / Radeon Rx xxx doesn't work with Flex

I bought a 128bit Radeon 9250 to replace my Radeon 9250 64bit.

SDL bench tell that it is actually slower than my previous 64bi Radeon.

Quake is about 15% faster with 128bit than 64bit

I have wondered what is practiacl diffrence between Radeon 9250 64bit and 128bit.

SDLBench tell that 128bit is actually little slower than 64bit. Wonder why?

That has nothing to do with real life performance. So here is Quake timedemo benchmark.

Radeon 9250 64bit 27,8 fps
Radeon 9250 128bit 32,7 fps

So in Quake 128bit Radeon gives about 15% boost, compared to 64bit Radeon.

@CinemawareRetro

Could you consider download only version? I have zero interest for boxes, most like they just end up to bin very fast.

I don't collect software, I just play them.
