Passive is when the client and the server start talking on port 21 but then the client is passive and the server talks to him on a port from its port range (50000 to 50100 in your case).
The server chooses a communication port at random from the defined range.
My guess is that Kaspersky warns you when the server chooses a port which is not opened in its settings. You need to change the settings to open all ports of the range.

I don't think many people would use a native version of SBase now that we have MUIbase or even AAMP to develop with. Maybe the very old SBase source code should just released for free to the community.

Well, I installed the version on OS4depot and it doesn't open because it can't find libfreetype.so.17 which I confirm I don't have on FE.
Where can this be found? You should mention it in the doc file (I checked).

(Note: I have libpng12.so mentioned in the readme)

I wonder how many people still have these old .conf variables un Uboot. Maybe os4 installation should delete them.
