Somehow I can not make it work since FE Update 1.

in URL Preferences I tried to edit the line for Odyssey on each Tab (http, https, ww)

here is what I tried (I will make the example with "http://" for the other tabs i replaced that with "https://" or "http://www."):

Also I noticed URL Prefs does not always see the changes, so if I pres the "Test" button, Odyssey is not available as a choice. That happens if I change the name in "Client Name" (I changed from "ODYSSEYLAUNCHERPE" to "ODYSSEY", always paying attention to press "ENTER" and not to change to "Client Path" in this case "APPDIR:ODYSSEYLAUNCERPE"

Invoking the command from a shell works.

Any idea what i'm doing wrong?

I changed the language in locale/prefs to english (iso-1), then restarted AmiUpdate. This time the GUI was right and the updated catalog files did download and update as supposed to.
After that I changed Locale prefs to the language of choice and everything worked again even after a reboot.

Hi!

I'm still using ScanQuix and fxScan on my AmigaOne-XE when there is need.
I mostly use ScanQuix 5 (the latest version) because fxScan wasn't the latest version available as far as I remember; I'm not sure if I have version 3.0.
Both work normally, but faster than they did when the artec AM12S scanner was connected to the A4000/060/PPC.

I can not test on my AmigaONE-X1000 because they are quite a few hundreds of KM apart.


Since I was looking for FreeCAD to work on Linux side on my X1000 I decided to give MaxonCAD and dynaCADD a go.

Both work flawlessly as far as I can tell. The Applications load in a blink of an eye, the projects from the "Beispiele" drawer load instantly. Zooming in and out, is blatantly faster than on AmigaOS 3.1 or 3.9 emulated by AmigaForever on a 3.16GHZ quad-core 16GiB RAM intel-PC running on Windows 7 or Windows 10.

Since I am not yet familiar with dynaCADD I will dive into it since I need a 3D CAD for a project. I might enjoy it better than working with FreeCAD (excellent btw) on Linux.

Btw I have elastic and Fantastic Dreams stored in a box somewhere at my parents house, but it might take weeks if not months to get the time to search for them. :/

Hi, there is something strange going on when I use NetSurf 3.5 on Amigaworld.
The website does not accept my password and tells me it's incorrect..

This is only on my Sam440-flex, everything is updated as far as I can tell.

I compared NetSurf settings between the A1X1000 and Sam440, they are the same.
Any idea what might solve the issue?

Just to understand e-print. Does it mean there is the need of an internet connection and my document leaves my house, "gets half around the world" and comes back to my printer standing 40cm next to my computer?!

If it is indeed like that, that's really some advancement in technology! :-O

I agree with kas1e's idea. Name the Upload with the "2" or "PE" addition and the exe could be OdysseyLauncher or OdysseyStarter (-1 letter! ;))

I am not sure if I'm misreading your post, but do you have the Kryoflux hardware?
It looks like the device can not be found.

The Floppy has to be connected to the Kryoflux hardware which then is connected to the Sam via USB.
