The problem with your list of questions is, that they are only loosly related to each other. After reading your questions twice, I would say everything is working as it should/is supposed to. Ah, and one answer is: No! (first question).

I don't know why, but the powerpc.library is *not* processor agnostic. So - no WarpOS emulation with X1000. I'm not sure about the 460ex systems, though...

Maybe I'm mixing up something here ('cos I only use network based printing - PCL/PS): What's the difference between this Dot4 driver* and your fresh upload? *: http://www.os4depot.net/index.php?fun ... river/printer/usbdot4.lha

My resolve to the PerfectPaint problem was to switch back to version 2.93-6 which works (except some minor quirks) nicely with AmigaOS 4.1.

...and a new version of RunInUAE (1.7) after the emulation update.
BEWARE: This only works if you have RunInUAE installed at "SYS:Emulation/RunInUAE"! If you have installed it elsewhere (which I had) then you will not be offered this update! It doesn't seem to check "APPDIR:RunInUAE" but looks "hardcoded" for the above mentioned path.

@severin
And my installation is even newer, from the authors homepage: SoundFX 4.3.94 (31.03.2005), the Aminet version shows: SoundFX 4.3.77 (30.03.2004).

Believe it or not: I just started AudioMaster IV, loaded a 8svx sample and played it - no patches active (!). So, yes, it works just fine on OS4.1 and my X1000... The screen mode wasn't perfect (palette), but I'm sure it can be tweaked to display correct. Gosh!

The keyfile should be there somewhere. I remember it was named something like "12345.amigafuture" and must be renamed to "sfx.key". It then should be copied to the root of the sfx directory. I don't know whether it was a single archive or not and buried somewhere in the main SFX package.
Nevertheless, SFX runs just nicely here on my X1000 without any problem. Of course you have to adjust the settings (fonts, resolution, AHI instead of Paula etc.).

SoundFX can still be registered, but you don't need to. It has gone "public" some months ago, just scan the AmigaFuture website to grab a free key file.

@ChrisH
AFAIK there was some kind of migration tool from GPSoft that were part of one of the 5.x DOPus suites. Maybe 5.11? I think it were able to read your DOPus 4 settings and translate it into DOPus 5.x settings. But I don't know with which version it was distributed.

You can define a PUBSCREEN in Sketchblocks's tooltypes. Define this screen in Screen prefs, make it "auto-open", voilá.

Maybe just copying back the file ENVARC:Sys/screenmode.prefs from your backup might help here.

Not your fault. Sometimes "informations" from beta testers aren't helpful in this regards, either. BTW I really like this new feature, thanks to all involved!

I'm just bringing up this thread to say: THANK YOU!
For all those like me who only visit that official documentation wiki only every now and then:
I was completely overwhelmed by the amount of work that was (silently?) put into that wiki in the last weeks and months. Be it the developer section or the user section. Yes, it's not ready and there are still parts missing, but nevertheless I personally think it's already a marvellous and very comprehensive source of information. Thanks to all involved!
