rebuild with proper curl again, as by incident use too new one and that bring some ssl errors again. Now all fine (BillE and zzd10h, check if all ok plz).

MBNA changed their website a few days ago. I no longer get any error with any version of Odyssey. I hope zzd10h will be able to confirm as I did not have the problem with any other sites.

The SSL error mentioned in Post 31 and Post 48 seems to have reared its ugly head again, in both Fastfix3 and Fastfix4.

The problem was solved in FastFix2 but appears to be broken again

[Edit] BTW, "Ignore SSL Errors" is enabled.

Re: VOTE: openurl , urlopen or both

@kas1e

The way I did it in Digital Universe was to use both. If OpenURL is available that is used (as at the time URLTesxt.mcc only worked with OpenURL), but if OpenURL is not available I used URLOpen. A final fallback for anyone daft enough to be still using OS4.0 was to just print the addresses.

I think URLText.mcc, native version, can now use both OpenURL and URLOpen, so having OpenURL is not as advantageous as it used to be.

Ok added Odyssey and now Launch-Handler works as expected, but mailto links does not, and at the moment i can't find you old post.

For some reason there is no (no obvious way at least) handling of mailto: links in any of the MUI-OWB versions. This is a real weakness in the application.

IBrowse, old though it may be, has a section in the Preferences for the user to decide how mailto: links are handled, internally, externally or via OpenURL. There seems to be no equivalent setting for mailto: in Odyssey, clicking a mailto: link does absolutely nothing.

Does the MorphOS version allow the use of mailto: links ? If so maybe something broke in the conversion process ?

A minor and very low priority suggestion for a fix. The window title still hows OWB rather than Odyssey. It would be nice to have consistency with the programme name and Arexx port name.

Re: Orders for full sets of Amiga keys for mechanical keyboards

@TheDaddy

Very nice, they also look as if they may fit the Cherry keyboard used for the official OS4 keyboards. I much prefer the A symbol to the boingball one on the Amiga keys, which freed up the boing ball for the menu (or as I call it the squiggle) key. I never got the Help on my official scroll lock key either

I also have a black Cherry keyboard.

Both are UK layout, I do NOT want another confusing US one like the official one I originally had.-)

I would be more interested in a subset of just the changed keys than a full set. Are you offering this ? In any event I have no use for the extra multimedia keys shown at the top right.

Now, in 1.23, when I ignore SSL errors in OWB Security settings

I just rechecked the 1.16 version and it works well when I "Ignore SSL errors"

Is somebody with the same error ?

Yes I too am getting this error, I thought v1.23 would have fixed it. The Error 35 SSL message from v 1.16 now works OK but this Error 51 remains.

I get it with http://www.mbnanetaccess.co.uk/

@Reth

I can confirm this error. I get exactly the same message with another site as you did. And I tried the same "solutions" to no avail.

https://secure.barclaysstockbrokers.co.uk/Auth/SignIn is the site that does not work for me, though it did in 1.9.

I can put up my UOF file on OS4depot.

Alternatively you can create a new data entry in misc.uof using the details shown to the right.Resized Image

You can see DU output superimposed on a photoI took a few days ago
HERE.

The comet is quite low and lost in haze and twilight. If it were higher up and could be spotted later ( Ihave to wait an hour longer now the Uk is on British Silly Time ) it would have easily been naked eye visibility. It ia an easy binocular object if you have a clear NW horizon.

I have spotted it a few times but last night was cloudy, a pity as it would have been very close to M31. Not looking good for tonight either

DU does create an AppIcon, at the moment there is no way to disable it. I can add this as a feature request for v1.8.

BTW. As quite a few applications show an appicon when running, I find it better to put all programme appicons in a different amidock. I too do not like appicons appearing in the main dock.

I created a new dock, and called it Apps (any name will do) then in the AmiDock preferences choose the new dock in the gadget next to "Place AppDockies in:".

It will not get rid of the DU appicon in v1.7 but will at least keep it (and other appicons) out of your main dock.

Re: File requesters open on WB not on custom screen

@kas1e

The version of MUI should not come into it. Though using MUI4 beta on the X1000 may explain the difference of behaviour I get between the two machines.

But to ensure file requesters appear on a custom screen all you need do is:

SetProcWindow((struct Window *)xget(MUI_BackWindow,MUIA_Window_Window));

Where MUI_BackWindow is the MUI ID of your main OWB window. Then the requesters will open on whatever screen the window is on.

@Xenic

Strange.

I always found that MUI-OWB on my XE opened requesters on the WB screen which is a bit of a pain.

Yet on my X1000 the requesters always open on the MUI-OWB custom screen.

I never figured out why the behaviour differed.
