All these different versions of uae for os4 are confusing the hell out of me. If you arent on the boards all the time knowing about it, its daunting to figure all this out.

I really feel we need to focus on the Built in OS4 RunInUAE with an AUTO Updater (Amiupdate) and most importantly a GUI configuration tool like the windows version. I hate editing txt files, i know how to do it, its just a pita to change every time.

Hi guys

I have a Catweasel MKIV in good,working condition in my peg2 running os4 u6. I have tested the joystick working with it and just now hooked up a known tested and working floppy drive. However, os4 is not recognizing the floppy drive, I put a floppy disk in and nothing happens no activity or anything. I have a floppy cable coming from the CW IV's (floppy port - the black one) to the pc floppy drive. (there is a twist in the floppy cable on the drive side) Naturally there is power to it. Do i have this setup properly? Do i have to put commands to read the disk or does it automagically work? Any help is appreciated.

Yeah i'm interested in 060 emulation in UAE JIT so I can run cool TBL, MAWI, and other 060 aga demos that require FPU and MMU! It would also be really cool to be able to run certain 68k apps at 060 speeds with FPU.

I do want to say that its very confusing all this many different types of UAE for OS4 (sdl, non sdl, run in uae, blah blah) also how the configs work. I really hope when final version of UAE JIT comes out that os4 team update the built in run in uae in os4.

Also, wasnt there a guy on Aw.net that made a nice front end for uae on os4?

Will it be possible to emulate those AGA 060 Demos you mentioned like Relic and Silkcute and demos like that? How feasible with UAE JIT on peg2?

Hi thanks for the honest assessment. I am one that has been critical of these projects. The reason I was critical, was the lack of real information, not particularly the project's progress. I'm sure this whole os4 adventure has been mentally "challenging" for you guys. But any niche enthusiast market is like this pretty much. Keep your head and and keep working. They are many many people that appreciate what you guys are doing. There are a lot of "lurkers" out there that dont post on amiga sites that still keep an eye out for "amiga" developments.

Well I run the Morphos port in full screen full speed on my peg2. Great game. Really fun. And I dont like FPS games.

Hey guys I got it working. I put the file as requested in dev kickstarts and I still got the same error. Then, I did a full/write over install of latest RunInUAE on Os4 depot and that did the trick. its working now..

My question is how did the betatesters miss that in u4??

Hey thanks for the info. I'm dying to play the Cinemaware games that they just packaged for us. Where do I get the file you want me to replace? From the latest archive?

Also, I would like to do a proper update but the installer confuses me. It asks questions where Yes is NO type of thing...

Is there a guide or can you walk me through the proper update installation of Runinuae. I'm running Update 6 up to date. RuninUae integration is one of the main reasons I choose "Os4" over "morphos" in my bootloader ;)

I'm really getting into os4 again and having fun with my Catweasel mk iv and Run in uae. However, when I try to launch an ECS or OCS demo or game WHD LOad will not load it failing saying it cant read the A500 kickstart file or something! AGA stuff works fine in WHdload.??

I downloaded the latest Runinuae from Os4 depot, went to install it but the opening questions of the installer are confusing as hell. (Since I already had Runinuae installed by default by OS4 u5.. i'm running latest update 6)

I read the docs of the latest RuninUae and it states it fixes the bug I mentioned in the first paragraph, however, after i installed it same problem

Hmm do the analogue sticks work with Amigainput?

Do you have any problems with Amigainput or the usb stack when unplugging and plugging the joypad?
