diskimage.device mounting ADFs as 'uninitialized'

folks,

recently any ADFs i attempt to mount using DiskImageGUI mount OK, but appear as uninitialized volumes. i've reinstalled the latest version of diskimage.device from OS4depot; i've deleted the diskimage XML files in ENVARC; i've even tried mounting with the command-line tools.

no matter what i do, the ADFs will mount, but workbench thinks they're blank. this includes ADFs that mounted just fine previously and ones recently downloaded.

any ideas?

Have you got FastFileSystem in SYS:Kickstart and is it enabled (not commented out) in SYS:Kickstart/Kicklayout?

@salass00

that was it! i had commented out the fastfilesystem kernel module (among others) to save on boot time. re-enabling it solved my issue. thanks a million!

Now leave FFS enabled. A quarter of second of difference is probably not that important in your boot time
