the user you use to connect to the has has a password, maybe add a psw if not.

I have/use an "old" NAS westernDigila blue ring and my smbfs is:

RUN >NIL: samba:bin/SMBFS workgroup=GRUPO user=<User> password=<Password> service=//WDRED/PUBLIC DEVICE=SMBFS0: VOLUME=WDRED TRANSLATE=L:FileSystem_Trans/INTL.crossdos NETBIOS

The drawer in NAS i share is "//WDRED/PUBLIC".
TRANSLATE arg is not requiered.
Insetad of shared name (WDRED) use IP (192.168.a.b).
