Seems important to me in promoting the Amigsa,? all kinds of students & professions need math

Yeah, Python based is all right, but check out what else it is based on - http://www.sagemath.org/links-components.html - quite a list! I don't see much of that becoming ported any day now.

Yes, i was unaware of its release, downloaded it and got a DSI, ignoring it and not killing the program gets yacas started. Killing it freezes the shell.

Worth noting:
the tutorial

needs java
the Sage notebook on
http://www.sagenb.org/ seems fully? functional under OWB and allows collaborative projects.

Looks like you forgot to add Stack Cookie in programm. I downloaded it , running - have DSI/crash on kernel. Then set stack 1000000, and all works.

@JosDuchIt
For now run it from shell, and increase stack size for. Maybe afxgroup will add Cookie for the next release.
