Sound bug in MPlayer

I have a sound bug in MPlayer. My AHI settings are at 44100 the Music Unit and Unit 0 too and with 32 channels. This problem is a problem I probably could have sometimes with other programs too.
The problem is that when I pass to view a video more than 15 minutes the sound begins to stutter the background and the comments too.I am talking about a match of the Champions League. Then I close and reopen the program but I have to do the same in 15 minutes or the sound begins again to sound noisy. Now that it seems I have stability to watch this videos, how can I solve this problem?

Is there a way to solve or avoid these annoying noisy sounds in MPlayer?

I have been using the last MPlayer version 1.0rc3.

In the past I have a SoundBlaster 128 that gave me problems since the beginning of the playing but now I could at least watch the video file for 15 minutes without problems. But the sound is very annoying after passing this 15 minutes.

Could I make better my multimedia/video experience on AmigaOS4.1?

32 channels is overkill deluxe!
try 2/4/8.
What do you need 32 for? ahi is softmixing audio anyway i think.

I have channels set to 10 on my ?A1. 32 is definitely overkill.

OK,do you like to say that with 8 channels the quality will be the same as with 32 channels?

I experienced a bit and I have my AHI settings adjusted to 10 channels at 44100 Khz.Later I putted the frecuency at 48000 with 10 channels too and I played a game with ScummVM with this adjustments at very good quality without problems for more than an hour.

To clear the situation about why I setted the channels to the number of 32 (because one of you were asking) is because I wanted to use the maximum performance of my audio card and I didn't know that I can get better sound with less channels. At least better sound in the sense of no noise.

What would happen if I set the channels to 1,2 or 4 and leave the frequency at 48000?

I am going to test the sound with some games of xMAME.
