Hallo everyone,

I'm new on this site and i'm pleased to be here.

First of all i'm introducing myself. I'm living in Switzerland and i'm an Amiga user since 1989. I begun with a simple Amiga 500 (which i boosted up at maximum). I got an A2000 060, and now i've an A4000 060 and an AmigaOne XE 1Ghz.

Usually I also go on Amigaworld.net (same user name) but with Amigans.net now I can have a larger amount of informations and subjects which I can reply and post.

I've never left the Amiga comunity because it is a great one.

OK, now that I am on Amigans.net I can go to sleep in peace and Joy :)

C U

Welcome Aboard!

Nice to hear you've been with the Amiga so long (I myself since 1986) I was beginning to think I must be the last one on the Planet that remained faithful to the "religion" Some may consider me fanatical but hey, why would you want to use another OS simply for speed? The AmigaOS etc does just fine...

Anyway, hope you keep ticking away in the same vein, it's quite refreshing!

cya round the site, I have many Amiga systems myself.

Heh, I would have been an Amigan since 1986, had I had the money to.

I bought an A2000 at the earlyest I had enough to buy it with, which was 1989. I would have been devastated if I had gotten an A1000 as it's not nearly as expandable as an A2000. The A2000 and A500 were the first acceptable user systems ONLY BECAUSE they were much chaeper and easier to expand.

To this day, my favorite case design is the A2000. But, the Amiga Phantasy is excellent now, as because so much more can fit in a small case, it isn't as important to have destops anymore. I keep dreaming of a near fully solid state Amiga except for a DVD-RW. And I'm not talking about insanely expensive SSD, but sockets inside and out that can have multiple CF and/or SD cards plugged in. Four or 8 CF or SD sockets inside that read/write across 4 SD cards, basically RAID to get throughput as high as any hard drive available.

Near instant boot, and even not as much need to use the RAM: drive too, freeing up memory for applications. Although, using the RAM: drive will lengthen the lifespan of the flash memory.

Support Amiga Fantasy cases!!!
How to program: 1. Start with lots and lots of 0's. 10. Add 1's, liberally.

G'day and welcome. I bought my first Miggy in 1987, cost a fortune in those days, not much has changed-:). My A1 has died and I am waiting on a SAM Flex so I just bought myself a CD32 to play with meantime. I think you will find this site valuable in answering OS4x related questions (as well as classic).
