Yes, I can confirm that V1.17 works.

No playback issues with Emotion and virtually no processor load. Both with a stacksize of 4000000 and the original 32768.

I do not agree with that assessment.

1) I experience no undefined or unstable behaviour.
2) I didn't experience such issues with the Radeon R9 270X. Switching screenmodes or testing screenmodes is no issue at all with that gfxcard.
3) Sysmon has no issue with the detection of my processor:



4) Maybe the memory location gets corrupted. But the only difference with yesterday morning is the RX560 + driver. I've been streaming audio for 9 hours before I changed the gfx card. (arrived yesterday)

Maybe my RX560 is somehow defect. Maybe the bios in my Gigabyte card is doing things differently. But i'll test it in a PC

Unless U-boot is causing some issue in the CPU detection with the Radeon Rx driver GART .

Screenmode issues remain with the V1.4 and V1.17 driver. And they have no active Gart.

Sorry for not reading whole topic where that may be questioned/answered, but did you have your issues when use your new ahi driver ? It very offten audio and graphics drivers can make impact on each other quite offten. So will be good for test to test the same gfx card, but with some other audio card/driver (or, without audio card installed at all). Just to be sure.

Back on the R9 270X again. No issue with changing screenmode. So the issue moves with the gfxcard.

Back on the RX560. (todo: check how many times I can do that before the PCIe connector wears out )

Removed the audio card and removed the driver.

Issue is the same. So it is clearly not the audio card or my HD audio driver.

Ok, i'll order a new PSU (current one is 630W). But that must be a power surge than when I switch screenmode. Because the RX560 only draws power from the PCIe slot. 3D games like HCRAFT plays fine in uwqhd. Without GART, 1080p movies play fine as well.

The R9 270X draws also power from 2x6 pin molex headers. This implies a much more power hungry card. (have to check the specs)

I'll also try if it makes a difference when I connect a DVI display.

Power supplies can be subtle .
Had had one that tested ok and worked perfectly on a PC but caused freezing on my Sam460ex during large file copies.

Did a quick test with DVI and a 1280x1024 monitor. This setup works fine. Screenmode change is solved in that setup.

Unfortunately my uwqhd monitor only supports hdmi and dp.

Edit: Correction, screenmode change is fine. No loss of output signal anymore. But the issue when changing the monitor settings in the screenmode pref still result in that weird cache coherency error output.


FYI:
The RX560 consumes less than 75W under load.
The R9 270X consumes up to 240W under load.


Todo: This error occurs after a warm reset. I have to check if a warm reset always results in this cache coherency error.

I can confirm that V1.17 works as expected. Tested 1080p movies and Spencer3D.. No problems.

Kas1e has a newer UBoot, but he does not have any problems with RadeonRX2.4 driver. And maybe A-EON testers were also using newer UBoot ?

ps. but it's just me have this beta of uboot, other beta testers in aeon probably didn't have it, at least not all of them for sure.
