If I recall the card that he has I had one of the same model Radeon R7-250 that worked with my X5000 then but I could not get it to work with my Sam460ex.

I tried now to put RadeonRX 560 in. Yes, I should have no uboot there, but I should have something on the serial after "VESA: OK", right? And the keyboard's num lock should work. But that not happen, the same "VESA: OK" and nothing else happens. Keyboard connected to USB external port at the back of the motherboard, tried in both connectors, the same.

I expect that even with non-visible uboot on-screen, uboot still should load, and I should see it on serial, but nothing. Tried and DVI and HDMI.

Maybe there should be some bootable device connected so uboot can start itself? Yeah, sound strange, but wtf :)

I tried now 3 cards: Radeon HD Verde, and 2 Polaris ones, and all of them tried with HDMI and DVI - in all cases all I have on serial "VESA: OK" and nothing after, ever.

And this one surely didn't have that mess on the PowerPSU connector and on his photos, it looks "clean". My one looks like a one-second hand and repaired :) In some parts, it even has some erased parts of the text, like someone quite often moves hands over it while fixing :)

If I were a new customer, I of course will be disappointed with the motherboard cosmetic look I got. But I had x5000 and pegasos2 already, so no big deal. Especially that it even can't work with 3 gfx cards i tried :)

You dont get anything else from u-Boot at that pont without redrecting the error output to serial so it is normal.
errors would be display on VGA console normally .

Next output would be from AmigaOS boot stuff.

Previous batch of boards were release in 2014 and we were still running Radeon HD's prior to Southern Islands cards for the most part .

Hmm strange, on peg2 and on x5000, by default errors come to serial, so you can see what wrong.

And, on both of them, before video card initialization is done, there should be a bit more output, like, loading of first kickstart modules, etc.

Anyway, maybe I should try to burn the sam460 iso on a USB stick, put it in, and try with Radeon HD/Radeon RX, maybe it will bring some more info.

But then, will it boot from usb stick by default, or something need to be changed in uboot, which i can't do, as no uboot visibly ?:)

If you have a video card that you use on your X5000 to boot Morphos try it on the Sam460cr .

About the 'glue': it's a last minute modification to allow the boards to work on modern ATX power supplies.
Basically what happen ? the 'cr' board have less onboard components then the 'ex' version, and its power consumption is very very low, and some/many PSU basically don't sense any load and: or they don't start at all or they give not stable output, which in turn create stability issues.
The two resistors you see are there for increasing the power load, they are not there for 'repair'.
Next batch will have this (and other minimal modifications) directly onboard.

The USB stick option might not be so easy for you as your other machines do not use the SLB boot loader that you need to set up for the Sam .

Will get tomorrow new case for sam (currently testing it all on the table), and can check also that card i use for morphos on x5000 (as it has some additional power connection which for me hard to attach from current psu i use for testing)

Or if you can find a cheap HD5450 or 6450 so yo dont risk your MorphOS card .

The only Radeon HD Southern Islands cards that I have found since a HD7750 and R7-250X to work have been OEM HP Radeon R9-255's.
Fortunately I go 2 of them.
Have just removed one from were it was in use from a Windows machine.
Two reserve cards are better than one.
