Before Twitter.
Before Reddit
Before Facebook
Before something called Whatsapp?
Amiga users everywhere chatted for hours on end on something called IRC.
On Wednesday 27th of May
Amigans.net is hosting an IRC Reunion evening.
Start time 19:00 GMT+1
Hopefully you'll join me and who knows who else on that night.
Full details on how to join can be found here.

@TiredOfLife What? Like I was in the Gym the other day, when a very fit woman came up to me and said. "Come with me and I'll show you a good time" She was right. 100 meters in 9.8 seconds!

@Mikey_C Eugh... A pun, a play on words and a limerick walk into a bar. No joke

@Mikey_C The first ever computer dated back to Adam and Eve. It was an apple with extremely limited RAM. Just one byte. And then everything crashed. When i was young i always felt like a man trapped in a womans body. Then i was born. My IQ test results came just in...and i'm so relieved...it's negative.

I asked my Hair dresser what cut would suit me best. She took a good look at me and said "A power cut"

Old but good...
What do you call a series of FDIV instructions on a Pentium? Successive approximations.

@Mikey_C The Amigaworld site and IRC servers were down all day yesterday and still are today. Any plans to retry this event? Cheers

@TiredOfLife Yeah, a lot of people were keen on the idea of doing it again. So I have suggested Mid August. It all depends on the numbers, the more people attend the popular it becomes, the more we do it, yadda, yadda. Keep an eye out for August :)
