Since it is on GitHub you can fork the repository and make your changes there. Then you can make pull requests from you repo to Yam's repo, and describe your changes. Then Yam's developers can decide if they want to merge your changes into their code or not.

This way, if someone else wants to download your fork and compile it, he will be free to do so.

Good idea. The main devs could also merge Deniil's changes into the main branch if they want to.

That's the way Git works and the way people contribute to other's projects. It is a great way to manage your fork code, and contribute to the main repo as well.

But you better keep different /features/fixes/changes to different branches, and make pull request with as less as possible code changed, so that the reviewer won't have to spend hours to check all these changes. It would be better to make more pull requests with a few changes than one huge pull request with everything in there. The later one might never get merged.

Are you aware that in the prefs you can select how to forward - either inline or as attachment? I think using the attachment option might solve your problem.

Best regards,

I see. I'll have a look at those options.

I don't suppose anyone's gone ahead and built a version of YAM without the timeout, no?

@Daedalus

i'm quite sure that the current nightly has no time restriction built in. it does not show any in the about window.

i'm on the version from June, 1st 2021.
actually the last beta build so far

Regards...
Michael
