New cygwin cross-compiler tests

I just build latest version of binutils and gcc from sba1 github page (adtools) for 32bit cygwin.

Before i upload it to os4depot, plz test it. All i do there is only build all of this to the necessary directory, and strip 3 big .exe files to reduce size of archives (i was worried maybe they by reasons so big, but Sebastian says its ok to strip them).

binutils-2.32.2:
https://www.sendspace.com/file/kqrdea

gcc-5.3.0:
https://www.sendspace.com/file/au41v6

Installation as usual and as described on zerohero's page, you just put both archives to /usr/local/ , and unpack them. So you will have all content from them in the /usr/local/amiga/

Then you also install SDK files to the /usr/local/amiga/ppc-amigaos/SDK/ and add PATH env to the /usr/local/amiga/bin and that all. After that you can compile your stuff. There is link to zerohero's page with some more details if you forgot them: http://kas1e.mikendezign.com/zerohero ... p/cross-compiler_os4.html

Thanks!

Is there a mirror of the utility base article linked to? That is a dead link in the copy of zero hero's page...

But that article not need it to install cross-compiler. All that part about SDK on zerohero's page can be removed, as all you need its just unpack SDK to the /usr/local/amiga/ppc-amigaos/SDK. No needs of that separate downloads of clibs2 and so on, all in the Hyperion's SDK already.

Installed and tested (only by compiling SysMon). Ir works well.
Thank you.

Now you may help us with building odyssey.
Download kas1e_branch from https://github.com/deadwood-pl/OdysseyWebBrowser

Then, go to "cross-build" directory, and type "./build_aos4". Once configure is done (i.e. you install all necessary packets like lexx, bison and whatever it will ask), you run in the same directory "make owb".

And then, you will meet with missing includes (such as unicode for example, etc, so you will need to install all 3d party packages from os4depot).

And once you will done, you will meet with first errors we have now, feel free to help us and join to our ml (write mail to the deadwood that you want to join os4 port, he will add you).

Not everything at moment, we at begining and step by step once bugs is fixed. With every new release its always new os4 specific problems.

"And once you will done, you will meet with first errors we have now"

Like the one with "chrono does not name a type" ?

I will send a mail to deadwood even if I don't have any experience of cross-compilation (and of C++ ;))

The cross-compiler works great, thanks for building it! I've already put it to good use.
A warning for those who don't link static executables, and use SObjs: don't forget to bundle the new libstdc++.so with your program. This only applies to C++ of course.

This is just like television, only you can see much further.

Can you compile GCC 6 (&binutils) from sba1/adtools for native OS4 (not for cross-compile) and upload it for testing??
