Hi X1000 owners!
I do have a problem since day one - both AmigaOS and Linux (first was Ubuntu now is Debian 7) simply don`t restart the machine (hard restart, not AmigaOS soft reset, 3 fingers salute). In fact machine does restart but simply machine doesn`t show X1000 boot screen or sends any video signal to monitor. Shutdown surely works and on turning on everything works like charm. Is this isolated problem of mine, and what would be the cause, or other X1000 users have similar glitch? |

I have the same problem with the Sam 460 , everything depend of the VideoCard and the x86 emulator in our machine bios. Probably future fixed release of Uboot will fix this problem |

Ahm, so it might be CFE related (X1000 BIOS) |

Radeon HD 6870 1GB So it might be Radeon 6000 and higher prob. If not CFE/Uboot but problem exists. Lets see will our beloved developers react at all. http://forum.hyperion-entertainment.b ... f60a7546d6c6b46c713bbbbac |

BTW, with the Sam460ex it's better to push the power button briefly to do a hard reset than push the case's reset button. Hans |

@Hans
yes it was a keyboard reset gave me the same problems described by Vox with the 6670hd I was thinking about vox and can be this because the linux kernel write some memory region usded by X1000 (uboot?) for start its bios and need poweroff for flush totally the ram? Probably a new linux kernel or bootstrap can fix it problem. |

Yes, I assume it can be CFE also, even people direct me to check the PSU !??? Linux kernel it isn‚t as Linux reboots normally, and same problem occurs from AmigaOS 4.1.6 |

Solved by using reset button on X1000 case http://forum.hyperion-entertainment.biz/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=2053 However, software problem might persist. Happy new 2014 ![]() |
