try adding to [global] one or both of these: server min protocol = NT1; server max protocol = NT1; restart servive/system and see what happens. You can try with and old smbfs version too (http://aminet.net/comm/tcp/smbfs-os4.lha) v1.74 |

the user you use to connect to the has has a password, maybe add a psw if not. I have/use an "old" NAS westernDigila blue ring and my smbfs is: RUN >NIL: samba:bin/SMBFS workgroup=GRUPO user=<User> password=<Password> service=//WDRED/PUBLIC DEVICE=SMBFS0: VOLUME=WDRED TRANSLATE=L:FileSystem_Trans/INTL.crossdos NETBIOS The drawer in NAS i share is "//WDRED/PUBLIC". TRANSLATE arg is not requiered. Insetad of shared name (WDRED) use IP (192.168.a.b). |

I've compiled the latest version from Github, and I was testing it these days. My plan was to upload it on Aminet, if everything works OK (after asking permission from Olaf of course).
Maybe we could help Olaf set up an automated build system on Github, so he can have binaries online also? |
