@oolite

One day I should start thread about it on the new dev site, unless no-one else does it in the meanwhile.
If I one day manage to try some game porting, oolite would be my big challenge.
(I still think Elite 1 (oolite is not too far off) is the best game in the world so far. )

Thread at AW.

And I was not aware of the Pioneer game project. Also that is interesting.

Oolite is written in objective-C. Somebody needs to port a compiler first, or port the codebase to a supported language. Both options sound a bit tedious.

GCC already supports Objective-C. IIRC, what we're missing are the Objective-C headers and standard libs.

And GNUstep framework. However I don't know how big part is needed for Oolite. Anyway, it would be an interesting experiment to build a compiler with Objective-C support and see what happens. Do you know did anyone in the SDK team look into this?

To make btanks works you need minigl (so warp3d, dunno if it will works on wazp3d), and you also need a bit for manual changes when you unpack it: archive not have "." directory, and when i wrongly pack it with lha, it just skips. So, create in the root "." dir, and it will works.

Some random links:

http://paintown.sourceforge.net/ didn't check sources but it should be portable.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/stuntcarremake/ now this is a cool project but it basically needs a rewrite from Direct3D to OpenGL. If somebody is brave enough to try...

Paintown was already quick ported by someone, but it wasn't so stable nor fast enough and so never released

If i remember correctly the OS4 diffs were also included in the main tree of Paintown's repository so a new port might be easier

OpenC1 seems to be Windows (or compatible ;) only though. Just like many commercial Windows titles.

How about OpenMW

It is open source clone of Elderscrolls Morrowind engine.

https://openmw.org/en/

OpenMW is built with various open source tools and libraries:
•Programming language: C++
•Graphics: OGRE
•Physics: Bullet
•Sound: OpenAL
•GUI: MyGUI
•Input: SDL2
•Scripting: Homebrew implementation of morrowind scripts.

Port of Ogre would offer quite many games actually.

We don't have SDL2, as well as MyGui can be something which we also can't port (as i see on their page its all about easy 3d graphics api, what mean they pretty possible use all the opengl stuff like shaders and co).

eDuke? It is SDL also

http://wiki.eduke32.com/wiki/Building_EDuke32_on_Linux

eDuke would allow play games like NAM/Napalm and WWII from TNT team without port modifigations

http://wiki.eduke32.com/wiki/Building_EDuke32_on_Linux
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_II_GI

And there is also eRampage wich is modified from eDuke

https://code.google.com/p/erampage/wiki/MainPage

eDuke would be smart it would allow several different games with small effort.

new graphics? euugh.
the outrun graphics is perfectly fine as it is.
making new gfx is not trivial either as the port uses the original arcade roms.

Outrun would be cool :D Situation with car games is poor, so it would offer something new to Amiga OS4
