Which FS are you using?
I have TW installed on a JXFS partition but for known reasons the CurrentUserProfile is installed on a SFS/SFS2 partition.

I m not saying this is the rerason, but i fear TW won t run completely on JXFS unless that FS has been updated

By the way, regarding the 100 % CPU usage.

I made a test here with a simple start of timberwolf (no arguments) showing the about:home page.

I see an initial CPU load of 100 %, which goes down to 3 % after a while. It then periodically rises again to 100 % for a few seconds, before going down to 3 % again.

During those 100 % times, i see a lot of disk activity. In fact, it's mainly accesses to sqlite databases that seem to cause the high load.

Can someone please check this/verify this ?

I tried this on Sam460, CPU load is always 100%, but it never goes down..

EDIT: CurrentUserProfile on SFS partition, however TW is on JXFS partition..

Should I move TW completely to SFS partition ?

Font sizes:

It's not that I do not know how to make fonts use different sizes. The problem is that the font is part of the theme, and part of the style sheet. Basically, the whole browser is one large web page, including style sheets for appearance.

Copy/Paste:

I know for sure this works. Do you have anythin installed that somehow modifies the behavior of the clipboard ?

Different language writing:

I'll take a look, but I can't test it myself.

Crash at quit:

Is that with several windows open ? Or only the main window ?

Crash at exit:

Only the main window open here (one or two tabs doesn t matter)

While i have to add that you have to browse and switch sites a little bit to make it crash.

Starting and Quitting TW doesn t make it crash.

I'd be glad to test it if you wish.

Sent my crashlogs early this week, cannot get TW to run from my main Work partition (whatsover) that is using JXFS, dodgy running from SFS as well - by some fluke I am running it right now from the SFS partition and boy is it much faster in comparison to the Betas.

sorry for not replying earlier, hadn't seen your post. Everything's on SFS/00

@tfrieden

Using left ctrl and pressing it for about half a second before pressing "C" did the trick! One more question though, if you dblclick on a downloaded file on the dl window, in example lha, and select to open it with unarc, it doesn't do anything. Is this normal? Shouldn't it pass the filename to the selected program?

Yep i try the same so i can confirm the issue, once a file listed on the download window was finished i double click into it and this opend a window called "Launch Application" that say:

Quote:
This link needs to be opened with an application.
Send to:

I select UnArc as default program and then i tick "remember my choice for file link" option, finally i pressed "OK" but then nothing happen and the Launch Application window still opened .. in short the functionality does not work

I think that's just not yet implemented, the same as opening pdf files directly from "Save as PDF"
For now, if you save the file to disk, you can then use def_icons to open the appropriate program.

Hi, the only problem for me, at the moment, it's a white download list. The files are download, but the list is empty.
Somebody knows why ?

I was finally able to import my FF bookmarks. Not sure why it wouldn't work before. Maybe it disliked me running MUI-OWB while I waited?

Copying & pasting bookmarks doesn't seem to work, but I guess that is already known.

There is, to the best of my knowledge, and incompatibility between MUI-OWB and Timberwolf concerning fontconfig.

Seriously, if you do want to contact me write me a mail. You're more likely to get a reply then.

First post from Timberwolf RC1. Working very nicely now , albeit a bit sluggish still and the menus being inside the window still annoys me somewhat as they don't work the way I'm used to on AmigaOS.

Both Ubuntu and OSX has menus outside the window with Firefox so I guess the biggest problem would probably be getting around the intuition limits on menu nesting (intuition only allows one level of submenus while Firefox needs at least one more level) and how many items/subitems you can have in a menu/submenu. Hopefully intuition will be improved to remove these limits.

Just tried viewing a youtube video and it's too slow to be usable ATM, but apart from that it worked fine . Hopefully once h/w acceleration and some optimisations get added it will work smoother.

Hmm, the only thing i could advise you to do is...completely delete your TW installation and install it new, especially taking care what the readme says.

as I said, the copy/paste thing is resolved, I just have to use left ctrl and keep it pressed for about 1/2 second before pressing c or v - thx for the help though!
