Hahaha!

They tested this myth on Mythbusters and it obviously doesn't work.

What they do is to just place a bridge just a bit under the surface and make sure you only film it at a shallow angel from the side. Notice How they say you need to start in a curve. That's probably to make it less obvious that they are always filming from the side when they are running.
