The new version of Timberwolf is currently in the os4depot upload queue and should pop up very soon.
This version fixes a few issues in addition to the issues fixed by beta 2. Here's a list of things changed: * Tab headers are now rendered correctly * Keyboard shortcuts work * Menus now show tickmarks and submenu indicators * Windows no longer open as a small stamp-sized thing in the corner but start out with their full size * Toplevel window position and size are now handled correctly, even across sessions Report any bugs you find to the Timberwolf bugtracker on os4depot.net The tab header fix also includes a slight speedup for some webpages. I'll be looking into the CPU load problem next. I noticed, though, that the CPU load drops substantially at one point after start (going as low as 3 %). I don't know how to reproduce this, but I saw it several times. If anybody finds a firm way to cause this behavior, please let me know. Have fun, and thanks for the support. Much appreciated! Edit: It's already out of the upload queue. Thanks orgin! |

Great stuff. I just got 4.1 installed (updates in progress) so I can finally give it a try.

Thanks guys. The UI of Beta 3 is definitely more responsive. Will carry out some more beta testing over the weekend.
Great work! |

Time to go out but i did some fast testings and works nice :) Even if having wookiechat and sabremsn loaded before.
I did get a crash the second time i opened it, but thats i opened OWB first and then timberwolf. Too bad i didnt save the log. Ill do it next time i get any problems. Facebook posting dont work so i assigned it as bug on os4depot. Its a popular thing ;) Using left ALT dont work for my usb keyboard (logitech k750) but as you probably know i did change some stuff in firmware to use @ sign with ALT gr+2 key (thats right ALT GR). I added a post in the Western character assign in os4depot too. Ill do some more testings later. Now time to get some beer :) See ya in some days. |

@Kicko
I would have quoted your comment about crashing but pasting text still doesn't work. TW crashed the first time I started it because I wasn't online for it to find the start page. It has worked since then and I was able to copy my bookmarks from the previous install. I was so excited I didn't save the GR report either ![]() After I grab the scrollbar to move down the page the scrollbar then follows the mouse pointer whenever I move it. That's very annoying; Does anyone know a way to stop that behavior? |

Posting this from TW beta 3 on my Sam 440ep@600MHz.
It's still not exactly fast but then as I said - it's on my Sam440ep, so I wouldn't expect it to be! Works very well though so far. BTW, I didn't see anything in the readme in the archive about opening it on a custom screen. Tried adding a screen called "Timberwolf" but that didn't do anything. Am I missing something obvious? Keep up the excellent work! |

Using a MicroA1 (256mb RAM) here and i haven't yet had the chance to get my hands on any Timberwolf Beta. It always crashes when the opening screen splashes. I have submitted the last Crash log i got here
http://crashlog.os4depot.net/index.ph ... ction=view&crashlogid=332 I'm running AOS 4.1.4. Any ideas on what i should check and tweak? |

@Portarions
Do font stuff in the readme, do not run it from "RAM DISK:", run it from a SFS partition, some thing about attributes. |

It looks like the latest release is stable (a lot more stable) on my system compared to the previous releases. (SFS0 partition used.) I've had a couple of graphical glitches but haven't found yet how to reproduce them.
My two biggest feature requests. Being able to open TW on any public screen and iconification. Thanks ! And keep up the good work ! (Posted from TW, of course.) |

@Liveforit
I have already done the "font stuff", i'm not running it from RAM but from a stable position in my SYS drawer which is SFS formatted. Thanks anyway for the suggestions. I don't really know what the heck it is but all i know is that i wanna join the party as well!! |

I tried running TW from RAM: (renamed as "RAMdisk" i.e. no space) and it runs very well. It loads in 5 seconds on a Sam460
