My top 2 would be

Blender - I use it for video editing (check my youtube channel www.youtube.com/broadblues for manyexamples)

Audio Evolution - Great piece of sound recording software, best ?70 I ever spent.

Filer - very useful file management.

Wordworth 7 (for poster making, etc) ImageFX 4.5 (most of the titling in my video were creted with it) are also useful

Ghostscript is quite essential (comes with OS)

Hollywood and Hollywood Designer is a must-have :) It is the main reason for using my amiga these days, and probably the most impressive piece of commercial software still being developed!

I want to be able to do the things I use a Windoze machine for.
So essentially, a browser that can do youtube out of the tin (ie: with some sort of embedded flash player), and Spotify.
I guess we also need a decent word processor, and spread sheet too, and if anyone can recommend a mailer that can read html emails better than YAM (I like YAM, but people keep sending HTML emails, and really, this isnt the 90s anymore !) I will be eternally grateful.
We also need a Java Engine. I dont even mean decent - a running one will do !

That what i use for real all the time:

diropus4, shell+kcon, binutils (compiler, linker, readelf, objdump, strip, gdb and some other stuff) and notepad. All the other programms can use some time, but in opposite more offten use analogues on the winxp. Through can point if aos will be as main os for everyday use, then such apps as: filer, pftp, owb, mplayer and amirc are must to have as well.

Depends on what you want to do ? A Coder will probably tell you something different than a gamer or a musican (like Kicko). I use my Amiga for:

1) CRM/Customer Database -> MUIBase
2) Wordprocessing (at least my invoices) -> FinalWriter 97
3) Batch processing for my digicam images -> iBatch
4) Presentations for my company -> Hollywood/Designer
5) Image manipulation -> ArtEffect, fxPaint
6) DTP/Fleyers etc. for my company -> Pagesstream
7) Converting CD Tracks into MP3 -> Adripper

Consider those ones above as the last proggy I use in my workflow, this means I might need some more little utils to achive my result: FFMpeg + GUI, Filer, Vector Drawing with Amifig, burning CD with FryingPan, MakeCD, id3TagLibGui....

The top ten I use (in approximate order of usage from "loads" to "not often")

1. TuneNet
2. NetSurf
3. YAM
4. Microdot-II (OK, this is an old 68k app that you can't buy anymore)
5. TurboCalc (ditto)
6. SVN
7. GCC
8. MakeCD (or, if you want an OS4 native, FryingPan - but I findthata bit unstable and I'm never entirely sure what it is going to do to my disc, so I only use it if I have to)
9. Photogenics (another 68k app, but you can buy this one)
10. Pagestream 5 (ancient OS4 alpha) and Wordworth 6 (stuck these in together as they are similar sort of things)

and there is loads of other stuff I use without realising, things that run in the background constantly, plugins, that sort of thing. I haven't included NotePad because it comes with the OS

Honourable mention to CodeAudio/LAME too.

I have the following Web browers installed on my system:
Aweb, IBrowse, NetSurf, OWB 3.31, OWB-MUI, TimberWolf

I use mostly NetSurf, OWB 3.31 and OWB-MUI.

For email, I use a web browser to access my webmail account.

For sending email, I sometimes use AWeb (mailto) or my own sendmail program.

I have lots of other stuff installed but these are the ones I use most these days.

I forgot to say why I use this software:
Shell and KingCON
NotePad
Web Browser
FinalWriter 97
AmiDVD and MakeCD
AmigaAMP or TuneNet

I tinker quite a bit with ARexx scripts. I use NotePad for writing my programs and Shell for testing. I use KingCON so that my programs can open console windows to allow me to interact with my programs. KingCON allows me to open a window with a scroll bar, so I can scroll back and forth to see what happened for troubleshooting my programs.

I have the following Web browers installed on my system:
AMosaic, Aweb, IBrowse, NetSurf, OWB 3.31, OWB-MUI, TimberWolf

I use mostly NetSurf, OWB 3.31 and OWB-MUI because they are the most useful at this time. AMosaic is for nostalgia. There are only a handful of web sites that still support AMosaic. I used AWeb and IBrowse for many years and these browsers still work on most of the web sites that I visit regularly. These old programs do not understand some of the formatting commands, so web pages look different when displayed using AWeb or IBrowse. After OWB came out, I was using OWB more often than AWeb or IBrowse.

For email, I use a web browser to access my webmail account. My wife and I share an email account. She can use her favourite MS web browser. I use mine. For sending email, I sometimes use AWeb (mailto) or my own sendmail program.

FinalWriter 97 still works as word processor. I have owned FinalWriter for a long time. I sometimes save files as RTF or use a script to convert to pdf.

I sometimes use Cinnamon Writer, which is a new word processor. Unfortunately, I have not used it enough to know if it can replace FinalWriter.

I use AmiDVD and MakeCD for burning ISO images to CD-R discs. I was using MakeCD for erasing CD-RW discs but I have very poor success with burning to CD-RW discs, so I use CD-R instead. I find AmiDVD is easier to setup and use but MakeCD has more features.

AmigaAMP and TuneNet for listening to music and songs.
PlayCD and Mixer for listening to music on CD.
DVPlayer for watching mpg videos and movies.
WarpView and MultiView for viewing pictures and photos.

Now that you've wrote your Top Ten, care to write a paragraph about each of them that does not appear on this list given by the Url?

I see Yam doesn't appear on the list, so anyone wanna write a paragraph about it? Features of it etc...same goes for SimpleMail.
