Versions/md5sums of your libraries?
What kind of gfx card do you have?
How did you installed OS4 Final? Updating or installing from scratch ?

More info please.

A1-XE/G4@933+Radeon7500/64MB, A1200BPPC+BVision
AmigaOS4 on both of course.

I have another strange problem with WarpView. I know that my Radeon 9100 wasn?t supported in update 4 and I got the same message as MichaelMerkel when trying to run it. But I thought that I should test it in OS4 final.

Now it starts but when I load a picture it gets all distorted with a lots of triangels flashing over the image. I guess my graphics card is still not supported. The strange thing is that WarpView tries to load the picture at all.

(I have ordered a Radeon 9250 now).

Thats right and the symptoms you describe are consistant with warp 3D on an 8500 & 9100. These are essentially the same card and its doubtful they will ever get Warp3D support.

A1XE, A1200T, X1000, X5020, CDTV, CD32 , A500+ A500
OS4.1b / OS3.2b

here you ho:

- first of all it worked with update 4
- radeon 9250
- clean installation of os4 final. i also have a "clean partition" (just os4 installed) which i will check again in a few minutes
- versions:
Warp3D.library 52.1 (05.12.2006)
W3D_Picasso96.library 52.1 (05.12.2006)
W3D_Radeon.library 52.1 (05.12.2006)

is there something missing?

allright... i found the problem (and a solution )

i have a partition which holds the os/workbench called WorkBench:.
all my other programs are on a separate partition called "Programs:"

this also includes some of the "system" paths like fonts: and libs:.

all my additional fonts are in Programs:Fonts and the FONTS: assign is set to
Assign FONTS: Programs:Fonts SYS:Fonts
so that "my" fonts directory is the one where files are copied to when doing a "copy xxx to FONTS:"

the same goes for libs:.

and this is the problem - warp3d does not work, if the libs are not placed in the "first" of the assigns.
so i just copied them from SYS:LIBS to Programs:LIBS and now it all works fine.

strange...

Warp3D scans for libraries via a DOS call:

err = IDOS->MatchFirst((STRPTR)"libs:Warp3D/HWdrivers/#?.library", ap);

I assume this doesn't work with added assigns, hence it doesn't find any...

now the question is if this behaviour of MatchFirst is correct? as those multi-assigns exist shouldn't this be supported somehow?

well, i've got it running - so i just need to remember in case i have to reinstall
