I know Chris will kill me, but here i take the risk
![]() Would it be possible to let NS open it's window on WB rather than opening it on it's own screen? Or at least be able to change the resolution? (640x480 i think it is) is far too small for my needs. thank you ![]() Edit: OK, found the "options" file ![]() |

You can use Prefs/Screens to promode Netsurf to another screenmode, but at least in a 1600x1200 Screen/Window the redrawing has problems. |

@ZeroG
The screen redrawing/site layout problem is not related to window size. It also happened in default size 1024x768, see the bugs thread I d still prefer a window on WB, though ![]() |

Netsurf screen is 1024x768. Quote:
...or make it same as WB screen (1280x1024 for me). There is a tag for this in OpenScreenTags() at least. |

Open it on workbench... wtf!==!?!? :)))) I love the fact on Amiga to open a big program like a browser or a graphic program like art effect on a custom screen, give me order, but they are personal prefs ![]() Seriously a good 21th browser should have: - tabs, because they give order to opened web pages; (usability feature, very important) - Speed links which can be visualized in any part of browser window (like IBrowse);(usability feature, very important) - Bookmark on menu (like IBrowse, but much enhanced);(usability feature, very important) - source of current web page visualizer; - bookmark manager; - cache manager; - download manager; - history of latest visited web pages on menu; - open of local files; - save a web page/web site; - search engine; - progress bar/lamp indicators (feedback to user); - c&p; (usability feature, very important) - d&d; - it have to rispect Amiga style guide where it's valid yet; (usability feature, very important) Without all these features we have not a browser, but olny a visualizer web page engine... Usability features are a very important piece of a software and make it a good software... |

The screen and window sizes are in the options file. you can force it to open on WB (nasty hack) by changing window_screen_width and window_screen-height to -1 (I think) edit; no you can't, I must have fixed that. I do intend to add an option to allow it to open on WB anyway. chris |

Just downloaded and installed the beta version of NetSurf on my M-A1-C. My initial impressions are very favorable. As others have suggested I would like the option of opening Netsurf on the WB screen. The M-A1C-s onboard gfx card does not have a lot of video RAM spare when OS4.1 loads up (composition ON), especially on my 1680x1050 22" WS monitor. Opening NetSurf on its own screen completely eats up all the remaining gfx memory. I can confirm that it also works with a 16bit display (I can't really use a 32bit display with compositing switched ON - actually I can, but I soon run out of gfx memory on the M-A1-C. Also as others have reported, with NetSurf running the CPU activity is registers 100%. Other than that a very good start. Well done. TrevorD |

Ability to add commands to MIME types, say, not only download files other than HTML, but adapt a command to it. i.e. start DVPlayer and play if it's an .avi etc. |

Commandline options, so NetSurf can be started by double clicking a link in an e.g. eMail and open it furthermore the ability to use/be used (by) OpenURL |
